"This is a castle hotel surrounded by vineyards. It features an outdoor heated pool, spa, sauna, and a simple yet elegant restaurant. While a car (taxi) is necessary to get there from the nearest station, it's a hotel well worth the trip. Breakfast is simple but consistently good. The only downside was the minimal amenities in the guest rooms (there was no hair conditioner)."

"It's cozy, but the room facilities are so-so. You'll be outdoors most of the time anyway. Staying overnight in this small town isn't a problem; it's safe. The hotels my friends stayed at were all full."

"We stayed three nights at Clos 1906 with - and it feels like with - Eduard and David. The property is elegant and comfortable, and the rooms are full if smart antiques. It is a short, 15-minute walk up to St Emilion, safe and off-road all the way. Naturally there are excellent eateries in the town - our favourites being Le Jardin and Chai Pascal - both excellent, although different grades of cuisine. Breakfast at Clos 1996 is superb; you will not need lunch. One afternoon, tired by the heat, we simply set up camp by the pool: lovely. Very highly recommended."

Les Chambres d'Ovaline

"Stayed here one night and everything worked smoothly and flexibly. Jess organised our wishes in a friendly manner, breakfast at the garden ( also a perfect spot to enjoy a glass of wine from the region in a shade ) was a lovely highlight to finish a perfect stay in Saint-Émilion. All the city sights and many chateau's are within walking distance. The room was well-equipped and had everything that is needed for a short stay. Very informative approach from the begin with and all the tips and recommendations were shared during our visit. Can't wait to return one day to this gorgeous place."
