The hotel is OK. Practically not very comfortable. Simply an old hotel.
Unfortunately there were only two large towels in the bathroom and no small towels at the sink. Unfortunately that was a bit too little when the shower was completely leaky.

1 Stern – Leider ein kompletter Reinfall Der Check-in war zwar schnell erledigt, aber danach ging es steil bergab. Das Zimmer war karg und ungemütlich. Der Boden war kalt und fleckig, die Möbel alt und abgenutzt, und insgesamt hatte der Raum den Charme eines Wartezimmers. Sauberkeit war nur oberflächlich vorhanden – auf den ersten Blick okay, aber bei genauerem Hinsehen wirkte alles ungepflegt und billig zusammengewürfelt. Die Matratze war extrem unbequem, das Bett hat bei jeder Bewegung geknarzt, und an ruhigen Schlaf war wegen der Hellhörigkeit im ganzen Haus nicht zu denken. Man hörte ständig Türen schlagen, Schritte auf dem Flur und sogar Gespräche aus dem Nebenzimmer. Insgesamt war das Hotel eine große Enttäuschung. Für den Preis hatte ich deutlich mehr erwartet – zumindest etwas Komfort oder Gastfreundschaft. Leider weder das eine noch das andere. Ich kann nur abraten. An einem 2 Besuch denke ich lange nicht.

The hotel seems to be well run. My room was spotlessly clean. Small but it had the most important things. The breakfast buffet was very varied, plentiful and of good quality. The breakfast room had a pleasant atmosphere. The price was very reasonable.

Nothing special about it and nothing wrong with it in a city with fewer options than one might hope for. Location across the river from where all the action is, 15 minutes minimum walk. Friendly and helpful front desk staff, clean and functional rooms featuring the leak-prone shower doors one expects throughout Europe at this price point. Free on-street parking weekends and 8 pm to 8 am weekdays, 11€ for secure hotel parking. Okay Mexican restaurant within. The elevator begins up a short flight of stairs from entry level lobby.
