Après avoir beaucoup bourlingué au Rwanda, nous souhaitions nous poser deux nuits à quelque part de calme. Et bien c’était le lieu parfait ! Le site est enchanteur, les bungalows vastes et très confortables (quelles terrasses !), Philippe le propriétaire des lieux, extrêmement sympa et son équipe très attentionnée. D’ailleurs, les repas du soir pris en commun entre lui et les hôtes ont été très agréables. Il est possible de venir à Kinunu en bateau depuis Gisenyi, cela offre deux heures de croisière sur le lac Kivu.

As a tour operator, and travel enthusiastic, I would say that Umutuzo lodge is now the best property on the shores of lake Kivu. The thing that impressed us most is the beauty of the place, the gentle service especially from Philippe (The owner), the natural serenity, and the possibility to actually network. Ce lieu exceptionnel offrant une vue imprenable sur le lac Kivu, vous promet un séjour relaxant. Les chambres sont très belles et spacieuses ! Gros coup de coeur pour la douche extérieur avec vue sur le lac (pas de panique, il y en a aussi une à l'intérieur ;-) ). L'équipe est au top, vraiment aux petits soins ! Le repas était réellement savoureux. Je recommande vivement cet endroit merveilleux !

It is the third time I stop at Umutuzo Lodge. Always an amazing experience made of warm welcoming, marvelous view, Rwandan authenticity, very good meals and perfect comfort. Do not hesitate to ask Philippe ( Umutuzo owner) to organize for you small or big trips in the neighborhood. As an example, he perfectly organized for our family a multi-day complete tour of Rwanda : full satisfaction, competitive rate, transparency, possibilities to interact with him to adapt the program . We absolutely recommend!
