Hotel nella media degli Ibis. Pulizia come da standard inglese (niente di clamoroso) e colazione sufficiente (non troppa varietĂ )

Room overall well maintained, needs sockets by the bed and TV small , no spate pillows in the room. Bathroom shower cubicle poorly maintained and seals broken and black mould.. Walk to our room along ground floor corridor was awful, extreme effluent smell from a flood. Hotel Team were friendly and helpful and welcoming. Location was ideal for our wander round South Yorshire and has pub, McDonalds and Asda all in less than five minutes walk.

Response from Property: Thank you for your detailed feedback. We are pleased to hear that you found the hotel team friendly and the location convenient for your visit to South Yorkshire. However, we regret that certain aspects of your stay, such as the bathroom maintenance issues and the unpleasant corridor odor, detracted from your overall experience. Please be assured that we take these concerns seriously and will address them promptly to improve the comfort and quality for our guests. We also appreciate your suggestions regarding additional sockets, TV size, and pillows, which will be considered as we continue to enhance our facilities. Thank you again for your valuable comments, and we hope to welcome you back for a more enjoyable stay in the future.

Unfair Parking Fine Despite Following Instructions â Serious Issue for Guests I stayed at Ibis Rotherham East (M18-M1) from 1st to 3rd May 2025 and was shocked to receive a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) from Civil Enforcement Ltd, even though I was a paying hotel guest and followed all instructions by entering my car registration into the tablet at reception at check-in. Despite doing exactly what the hotel staff told me to do, I received a PCN claiming I had âfailed to obtain a permit.â After researching, I found that many other guests have had the same issue, as shown in countless reviews online. Itâs incredibly frustrating that even after acting in good faith, guests are forced to spend hours appealing an unnecessary and baseless fine. This not only wastes precious time, but also causes stress, hassle, and completely ruins the experience of what should be a relaxing vacation or a smooth business trip. In todayâs fast-paced world, the last thing guests need is to defend themselves against parking tickets they shouldnât have received in the first place. This situation portrays a rubbish and unprofessional image of both Ibis Rotherham and Accor as a whole. Accor is a global hotel brand and should not allow guests to be repeatedly penalised due to a badly managed and poorly integrated parking system. Itâs high time Accor took serious action to resolve this recurring issue, rather than letting loyal customers bear the consequences of a broken process. If you're planning to stay here, be extremely cautious about parkingâand even then, donât be surprised if you still get fined.
Response from Property: Thank you for your feedback, and please accept our sincere apologies for the frustration and inconvenience caused by the parking fine you received. We completely understand how upsetting this must be, especially after following the instructions given at check-in. Unfortunately, the car parking system is managed entirely by a third-party company and is not under the direct control of the hotel. That said, we take these matters seriously and have already reported this issue to Civil Enforcement Ltd, as there does appear to be a wider problem affecting some guests. I have personally emailed the company regarding your case, and I would urge you to get in touch with us directly, quoting your PCN number, so we can assist further and work to get this resolved or cancelled on your behalf. Once again, I am truly sorry for the stress this has caused. While this situation is not a fault of the hotel itself, we absolutely recognise the impact it has on our guests and are doing everything we can to escalate and resolve it. Kind regards,
Tania S

Checked into room 125 to find that another guest had also been allocated the same room and he walked into my room as I was in the bathroom. This gentleman had already been previously allocated a room only to find another guests belongings in there so happened twice. Keycard had to be reset 3 times as it kept falling so had to made several trips to reception and back. I was advised to lift the door as 'some of the locks are awkward. Once in the room I was unable to lock it from the inside and ended up with it unlocked all night other than by the small chain on the back of the door. Corridor outside the room was filthy and hadnât seen a vacuum for many days. Room old and tired. Carpets dirty, bathroom floor coming away. Shower sealant mouldy and ceiling too. Bedding was clean but mattress old and tatty. Bulbs not working. Surfaces dusty. Heater was like something from the arc. Curtains blacked out the room but literally one was 5 inches longer than the other. Ordinarily I would've refused to stay but this was a necessary visit to arrange my mums funeral so I had little choice after a 6 hour drive. Will be raising a formal complaint as hotel room entirely unacceptable

First time in a ibis and the last time, I know itâs a budget hotel but run down and not very clean, ÂŁ12 for the worst breakfast Iâve ever had, I wasnât expecting a lot has itâs a budget hotel but itâs worst than expected, hard beds very small towels, complained about the breakfast but they said thereâs no refunds even you you wasnât happy.
Response from Property: Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations, particularly regarding the cleanliness, breakfast, and overall comfort of your stay. While we strive to offer good value for a budget hotel, we regret that you found aspects of your visit unsatisfactory. We take all guest concerns seriously and apologize if our policies on refunds were not communicated clearly. Your comments are important to us as we continually work to improve our services and facilities. We appreciate you bringing these matters to our attention and hope you will consider giving us another opportunity to provide a better experience in the future.

Hotel ok for a nights stay with plenty of amenities close by. I didnât realise the parking issues until I got a fine for a 1 nights stay. Absolutely appalling to advertise the hotel as having free onsite parking, for the reception staff to take my car details and length of stay but not mention anything else about risks to guests or signpost me to other actions I need to take. The car park is right next to the hotel so if guests canât park here then Ibis need to take responsibility for this to safeguard their guests. Terrible service and spoilt what was a nice weekend.
Response from Property: Thank you for your feedback, and we're sorry to hear that your experience was affected by a parking fine. We completely understand how frustrating this can be. However, we would like to clarify that the car park is clearly signposted with instructions, and our team always does their best to inform guests that they must input their vehicle registration at the tablet located at reception. This step is essential to ensure free parking is registered correctly during your stay. Parking enforcement is managed by a third-party company, but we take guest concerns seriously and are continually working to minimise issues. If you believe the fine was issued in error, please contact us directly with your PCN number and weâll be happy to request a cancellation on your behalf. Weâre confident our team provides clear guidance and support around parking, and weâll continue to ensure all guests receive the information they need at check-in.

Average hotel, could do with refurbishment but it served its purpose for 2 nights. Same issue as lots of others got a parking ticket through from my stay on 3-5th May although its for the first night. Now have to try and rectify and appeal something that shouldn't be happening regardless if it's a 3rd party company or not if its happening all the time it needs addressed.
Response from Property: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. Weâre glad the hotel served its purpose during your stay, though weâre sorry to hear about the parking issue you encountered. We completely understand how frustrating it is to receive a fine, especially when youâve followed the correct procedures. While parking enforcement is managed by a third-party company, we absolutely agree that recurring issues need to be addressed. Please be assured we are actively working with them to improve the process. In the meantime, if you can contact us directly with your PCN (Parking Charge Notice) number, weâll do our best to support your appeal and request a cancellation if appropriate.

The hotel is fine for what you pay for⊠the bed was quite comfy and had the basic things e.g. en-suite, TV and hair dryer. However, everywhere just felt dirty and old fashioned. Breakfast was extremely disappointing and overpriced for what was on offer. Would recommend not paying for the breakfast as there is a McDonaldâs and Morrisons very close by. Furthermore, although most members of staff were friendly, others we felt just couldnât be bothered and were quite rude. Overall, the hotel is fine for 1 night if youâre not in it much and go elsewhere for food.
