The outside may look dingy, but don’t let that fool you! The rooms are beautiful and overlook the cove with floor-to-ceiling windows and balconies for each room. Wonderful experience!

A lot of noise from Route 1 and a lot of light from outside lights on the buildings made it hard for me to sleep. Also my sliding glass door toward the Bay did not have a screen, so I couldn't have it wide open as much as I would've liked. Also the heating /cooling units are very noisy - perhaps heat pumps could be an improvement. I liked the pool. Iiked the cleanliness and the "basicness" of my room, and the affordable price. And the front desk guy in the evening was very nice.

“Ledges by the Bay” is a quiet location set back from the road, also offering a simple continental breakfast in the morning. It’s conveniently located between Rockland and Camden, both towns absolutely worth spending time in! During my stay I enjoyed seeing the sunrise from the balcony, and watching a marmot / groundhog (not sure exactly which), along with several great blue herons; also from my balcony. I brought binoculars with me, which helped me to better observe the animals. Watching the cove’s scenery transition between low and high tides was beautiful!

Some units are close to rte 1 and noisy..the property is hilly especially down to the water..very steep with unsafe steps. The pool is accessed by steep steps. Fantastic water view. Breakfast pretty basic.great view

We booked Ledges for the first time due to its proximity to where the Maine Lobster Festival would be held (this was our 2nd trip to the festival, but our first time at Ledges). We booked the stay a few months prior with no issues. Upon arriving and after checking in, we found our room very nice, clean and spacious. We were able to enjoy the pool both afternoons, very clean and refreshing! Unfortunately, due to the mosquitos, we were not able to sit out on the balcony, but enjoyed the view of the bay from inside the room. We would definitely consider going back to Ledges.

Convenient location, well maintained room with a beautiful view of the water. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was more at the level of a continental rather than a full breakfast, but did include hardboiled eggs and a waffle maker, (but we are a little spoiled staying at some of the larger chain hotels that offer scrambled eggs and bacon). We would definitely stay here again if we are in the area.

We stayed August 1st through the 3rd 2025. I didn't see a nicer place to stay while we were in Rockland. The room had a great view of the bay, quiet. A couple of things could have made it much better. The floor was not clean it looked ok but not clean, it needed to be damp mopped. The shower curtain had mildew on it. Breakfast was vending machine type coffee, bagels, cereal and waffles. The butter and cream cheese were in open quart containers on the counter. Might be ok just not what I'm accustom to? There are Keurig coffee makers in the room that's a better bet for good coffee. No eggs or potatoes. I didn't see any water access from our room. It was grown up at the water. Just want you to know what to expect... Good coffee and a clean room would have made me much happier.
