"The Hummingbird Inn is the perfect place to stay. Sandra and Jeff, the innkeepers, treated us like old friends—they were warm, attentive, and full of local knowledge. The rooms, beautifully decorated, offered comfort at every turn. Each morning, we enjoyed a breakfast made with loving attention to detail; it was absolutely delicious! We are thankful for a great stay. Steeped in history, the Inn began its life around 1780 as a trading post for travelers. Step back in time and enjoy a wonderful Inn—book your stay today and experience it for yourself!"

"We had a very enjoyable short day at this hotel we arrived relatively late and check-in was smooth as the hotel was not crowded. There’s of parking nearby. The room was spotless and very large. Typical for a residence in. My only complaint was that that pillows were either very flat very puffy and the air-conditioning is a little bit loud. Breakfast was typical fair for this type of hotel. The staff was friendly checkout was easy. I would return when passing through the area."

"We stayed in the cabin and loved it! We enjoyed sitting outside around the fire pit listening to the water sounds of the lovely stream. The tub was amazing, but most of all the hospitality of the owner was outstanding. She welcomed us personally and showed us the mill that had been lovingly restored. Her decorating was phenomenal, with pictures depicting the history of the mill and a mix of modern touches and antiques. The cabin was extremely clean and we were treated with an expresso machine with Starbucks coffee pods, luxurious bedding, sparkling water, and snacks! The inn had a relaxing common space with a modern fireplace crackling and a sound system that connected to our own favorite playlist. The breakfast was delicious- homemade cinnamon rolls, fresh fruit, and egg cups. We will definitely visit again and the end of October was the best time to see the beautiful leaves in Vesuvius!"
