"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in downtown Roanoke at this beautiful new property. Many of the original details of this massive old bank have been preserved and add to the charm. Even though renovations aren’t completed yet, our stay was not affected. The rooms are very spacious and spotlessly clean, with high end linens and toiletries. The staff we met were extremely nice and professional. We were steps away from many different eateries, nightlife, and shops. We were greeted with a welcome basket of goodies and a handwritten note from the staff, which was a very special touch. Congratulations to the GM, Johnie, and the whole staff for opening such a unique addition to downtown Roanoke. We look forward to returning soon and trying out the restaurant and event venue!"

"Unique, with no attendant on site. Large common areas for lounging, eating carry out from elsewhere, or to have a meeting. Quiet, with large rooms, but the bathrooms are small with no place to put toiletries, clothes, etc. With all the room space the bathroom could easily have been larger. Closets are oddly organized with limited space to hang clothes. TVs are interesting, mostly streaming based. You can link your own accounts to the Roku TVs to watch what you want. No facial tissues in the rooms."

"Absolutely terrible, like staying in a slum in Curry Country. The entire room reeked, not a single piece of furniture was clean, all the fabrics were greasy and stained—a truly awful experience! The floor outside the room was covered in animal excrement, and the carpet in the room was torn and filthy! We demand the cancellation of this hotel's operating license!"

"Room was adequate in size and concierge was fine at check in. However in room my wife found insect on the bed. Terrible. Also requested a slip mat for tub shower. Was told by desk hotel does not off. Comment was use a towel. I said virtually all hotel tub showers either have or have on request. Comment back was she worked in many hotels and most do not offer. I am lifetime elite Marriott member and always had them at least on request. Cancelled on return leg staying in nearby Courtyard"
