Royalty Copacabana Hotel Reviews

The hotel had its location as its best point but there were cockroaches in the room, on the bed, and around the mini bar. I am normally very accommodating and rarely like to cause a fuss, so I mentioned it to the front desk after the first night in hopes that they might move me to another room, only for them to offer to clean the room up. Getting back late on the second night I see more cockroaches everywhere even though the smell of insecticide was in the air. The staff at the front desk at that time said there were no other rooms I could be moved into so I checked out early and will be seeking a refund

For a 3 star Hotel, the room was huge, free breakfast every day, which had a great array of food for every nationality. Small upper deck pool, but it was great to relax in. The only thing we missed was not having a kettle to make tea/coffee whenever we wanted. Staff were very approachable and friendly.

The hotel leaves something to be desired in terms of pest control. The facilities need updating, but other than that we had no major problems. We didn't have breakfast because of the time difference, so I can't rate this service.

The hotel is a wreck! The breakfast is not very good! The staff is disgusting!

Good location, but poor service and maintenance conditions. Smell of mold, cockroaches and stained sheets. Unmotivated employees who don't help and keep making excuses for everything. They want to charge extra for everything. Even to use the safe in the rooms that they said was available on the website, they want to charge extra. Avoid if you have another option.

The room was comfortable but had a musty smell. There was no smart TV and the air didn't cool well. Very dirty bathroom. Parking costs 80 reais daily!! The breakfast was good and the staff were friendly. But the cost-benefit ratio was not worth it

Hotel looks old and poorly maintained. Bad bed, moldy pillows. Checkout time-consuming and disorganized. Dirty and noisy air conditioning. The only reasonable point is the location. I do not recommend.
