Rigi Kaltbad Swiss Quality Hotel Reviews

The room is not big, but it is clean and sanitary. The view outside the window is very stunning. You can see the mountains and the sea of ​​clouds in the room.

This is my second time staying at this hotel. The room I booked through booking three years ago is on the third floor. The bed is on top. The corridor on the third floor looks more like a hotel. This time I booked on Ctrip and the room is on the last one on the fourth floor. , the windows are not as big as those on the third floor before, but the small and exquisite room is still quite warm to live alone. I usually go for a hike after breakfast, and return to the hotel for spa treatment around three in the afternoon. Highly recommended😊

This hotel is a designated place for guests to stay. There is nothing to complain about the Swiss environment, it is small and exquisite. Although the service is not that enthusiastic, maybe it is because of the cultural difference, but you can feel the courtesy.

Very unfortunate.... Swiss Quality is no longer what it was. Unfortunately everything is very careless. We have a total of 3 friendly employees in the Hotel hit. The bathroom was completely overflowing... pity pity pity...

Good environment and good location!

Very similar to other review this hotel is a cliche of Switzerland: expensive, frugel, hospitality at its worst . But for the mountain , a big disappointment. The bottom line - to enjoy the mountain , you can take the transportation from the lake and do not have to stay captive in the hotel . The rooms are very basic (very) bathroom is hostel level . Now the dinner staff were extremely rude. Clearly they know you have ed no choice . As for the Spa .. facility is nice but it no relaxation - more a family resort . It's ok but don't advertise serenity . The treatment was not professional. So even if it's not part of the hotel , the spa is strongly advertised. No , definitely not recommended.

The location is so beautiful and the internal connection to the Spa is very conveniente. However, the breakfast was poorly organised and food quality could be better. Unfortunately, we had a bad experience with their service since the heater in our room did not work (-5 °C outside) and the only option provided was extra blankets (no room change, nobody available in-house to check the heater, no extra electric heater...), so we could not enjoy the room.

We had a very good experience. The view from the room was amazing. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was excellent with lots of options. We also had a nice time at the bar, in a very cosy atmosphere with the fireplace. The staff was very welcoming and helpful.

We had a very nice stay at the Hotel Rigi Kaltbad. The name is not so good: the Kaltbad is a place, and the baths are nice and warm. we had clean and comfortable rooms, good breakfast and access to the spa included in our stay. They are easily accessed from the hotel. I loved the design of the baths, not big but very nice. For dinner we went elsewhere so I cannot comment. a very good three star hotel, with nice service.

Fast forward to today: young parenting couples bring their infants, toddlers, plus older to the mineral pool. They jump, play, scream and no one seems to care. The spa is managed by a separate company. After a 4 hour hike I wanted to luxuriate in a quiet, serene setting. So, if you want to bring your children to a wellness spa to relax; enjoy this NOW family oriented resort. BTW, the rooms are antiquated and need a facelift. One sinks into one's own mattress and it is like falling into a "V." Restaurant is less than wonderful. However, on a positive note, the staff is amazing!!! The hotel is blessed with a spectacular location. Located above a great wellness center accessible through the hotel. The staff at the reception was very friendly and welcoming, checking us in efficiently. Dinner staff was very attentive, friendly and qualified. The food served as a four course meal was mediocre at best, not very tasty although presented very well. Breakfast selection was adequate except for the staff that barely understood German or English!!! The room we had was very small, no coffee or amenities considered normal for a hotel of this class. No sope in the showers is not acceptable. A fridge or mini bar would have been helpful too. Though the wellness center excelled we probably wouldn’t come back to this hotel

This is a great place to stay. There is a pool on site and you are provided with towels and robes to use the facility. The hotel is well located with lovely walks starting right out the front. The views are spectacular. Breakfast was included in our package and excellent with pastries, juices and other selections. The hotel is obliging with storage of luggage and the check in staff were friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful stay at the hotel and it was one of the highlights of our trip. There are a couple of shops close by for ice cream and souvenirs. The hotel is a very short walk from the train station.

I stayed at Rigi Kaltbad before and it was always a very wonderful experience, except this time. The female receptions were unhelpful and unhappy. Maybe they are not regular staff, underpaid or something. Mohamed, the receptionist, on the other hand, was very friendly, professional and helpful. We felt welcomed by him. If it wasn’t for him, I’d not return.
