Karsten was an excellent host, cooked us a couple of delicious evening meals and provided a couple of lovely packed lunches in lieu of breakfast due to our early starts. The chalet was very clean and comfortable and it was great to look out into wide dark skies and the abundant stars at night and peaceful wilderness in the morning.

It was a great place out in the open with all the stars surrounding you. The only suggestion is that, because the pace is so far removed from everything, it should be better equipped for self-catering.

We were late for reaching the camp that we originally booked near Sossusvlei and Capricorn Camp was a lifesaver. Karsten responded quickly to our last-minute booking. He came and showed us around. It was very nice to stay in this cozy place after a long journey. There is a gas heater, warm blankets, place for making a fire, a spacious shower. Towels and bedding are provided. And of course, countless stars above the property are just magical. In the morning, we had some issues with a tire compressor and Karsten and his helper were quick to come and offer help and advice. Thank you once again Karsten!

We had a very warm welcome by the host. And shared a lovely maal together on the terrace. The Lodges are wide apart and have everything you need.

We (it means two family with children) spent here one night on our way from Sesriem to Windhoek. Karsten is very nice and modest person. He prepared us great dinner and breakfast and told us many interesting things about living in Namibia.

Beautiful rest camp in the middle of nowhere on the route to sussvlei . There 'are four bungolaw with gas heater and a gas stowe outside (if you want to make coffee or tea) The Ower is too the chef and eat with the guest. All rest camp is powered by solar and the water is pumped from a well in the same area. The kitchen are good. Wifi is available but is poor. the power is limited and is not possible to use hairdryer. Blackout are possible is better to have a flashlight with spare battery and some power bank

This place makes a PERFECT stopping off point between Windhoek and Sossusvlei. Incredibly peaceful, self sustained resort. Host is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the entire country of Namibia. Showers are great. Beds are comfortable. Just amazing bang for the buck!! HIGHLY recommend it if it fits your schedule!!

We received a great welcome. Luckily we arrived during a birthday party with guests of varios Namibian backgrounds from the local neighborhood . Our great host Karsten speaks German and English and is a phantastic cook. The spacious bungalow offered everything we required including potable water from the water tap. From our host and his friends we learned a lot about Namibia, We could not have a better introduction to Namibia.
