Days Inn by Wyndham Ridgefield

I had covid and i dont make check in and the hotel refused to refund the amount Bad experience

We were 2 days into a tandem bike trip and needed a place to stay in Ridgefield , CT. If we were in a car and had not just ridden 65 miles, we would have left and found another place to stay. The room was in a poor state of repair with mold around the tub, broken bathroom faucet handle, outlets that did not function, AC that smelled moldy. The bed was rock-hard as well. The only saving grace was a wonderful, small, family run Mexican restaurant that was attached to the motel.

Disappointing Not the hotel's fault but the internet was down. The problem was that the proprietor acted as tho he did not know how to do a refund....they should all know how to contact the apps if they are going to use them... The mattress was extremely soft and sunk in the middle and lumpy - terrible if you are over 40 with back issues. And the sheets had burns on them - clean but tattered. Not what I was happy to spend $100 a night on.

Continental breakfast instead of full breakfast which I was told they had when I called. Unable to adjust hot water properly to take a shower- took forever to get hot water and then it was too hot and I couldn’t get it cooler!

First they gave us the wrong room. Instead of the 2 queen size beds they gave 2 twin size beds. The first room had all sorts of great surprises such as goon stains on the couch and walls. And even the lamp had an abundance of goon on it. I don't think that hotel room was used for sleeping.. But luckily they moved us to the room with the queen size beds. Which still had a adequate number of goon stains but wasn't as bad. Although the this room was MUCH better than the first one when we opened the couch bed there was a massive brown stain and an astonishing amount of goon stains. But with no better option. I had to sleep. I didn’t sleep well at all. After tossing and rolling I eventually fell asleep. I kept waking up every so often a little more itchy. I was so tired that I couldn’t get out of bed. But in the morning when i was finally capable of waking i was left with a horrific sight! Little bug bites all over. I don't think it was sleeping bugs but little demonic fleas. We quickly gathered and left before any other horrible event overwhelmed our mitochondrial process. But our stomachs were left growling for food. So we headed down to the free breakfast. Which didn’t have much to offer. Some toast, bagels, oatmeal. They had orange juice that was actually apple juice. I had some of the packaged oatmeal which actually wasn’t that bad. There was also cereal that was squishy. But with that we left. Usually with a hotel i’m left missing my room once we leave. But i’m left rejoicing at our departure. The End

The couch was absolutely filthy and stained. The room was clean, but everything needed to be redone. It just was old and there was mold in the bathroom.
