"Sunday lunch. We booked the table a few weeks ago and just as well as there was a steady stream of people turned away as they were fully booked. Sunday lunch was beef, turkey or salmon for £12.99. We had beef. Pipping hot and large portions, good selection of veg. Three desserts on the menu, tasty that we tried. Highly recommend. Inside, the pub is old fashioned, beams and dark. If that is not your thing go elsewhere. Staff were very nice and efficient. Our bill was ~£60. Excellent value we thought."

"Most friendly local patrons and most helpful to tourists in giving advice to travel in and around Rhayader itself. Food was outstandingly delicious and seriously plentiful. food and drinks are well priced. Rhayader has many pubs and restaurants to visit and enjoy local well being. The water reservoirs in Elan Valley are really worth visiting and has superb scenery. There is very quaint little church to visit too."
