Extended Stay America Suites - Washington, DC - Reston

I recommend exploring other options before considering this establishment. My two cents: AVOID it! Your ROI will be hugely negative. While its location is convenient (just a few blocks from the Reston Metro station), I encountered many issues during my stay that should be addressed. The facilities didn't meet Virginia safety codes, and I found the room to need significant cleaning and updates (room 241). Please see my pictures for broken furniture, grease, rust, etc. I was given a room with non-compliant locks, which raised my safety concerns. I plan to file a formal complaint to bring attention to these matters, as it seems this establishment may not adhere to the same standards as other ESA locations in Fairfax County. In addition, I experienced unprofessional behavior from staff members, which was disappointing. For example, PAGARWAL told me to “f…” after I asked him why he was trying to knock down my door while I was 15 minutes late past check-out time; when I reached out for assistance in person, the manager SHERAZ hid from me (I had already spoken with him from my room when the incident happened). If you are driving a car, you cannot park in the check-in designated spaces because they are permanently occupied, even though no other person is checking in or out. I hope future guests will have a better experience and that ESA Corporate will try to remedy the abovementioned issues. Unprofessional behavior is the last thing any person wishes to experience any morning. Please AVOID Reston’s ESA.

The Elvis song “ in the ghetto “ says it all Condition of the building and premises are really in bad shape, I felt like I was in the middle of a ghetto. Breakfast offered doesn’t deserve that name, just some instant oats, coffee and hot water for tea were the only options.

The room was not clean it smelt like pee, very uncomfortable the walls are black and I would like my money back I had my 6 month old baby there I not pleased

The property area is across the street from a major subway/metro station (Silver line), so getting to DC is a breeze. The office is clean. The room though, is a different story. Upon entering my room, I could smell the mildew and mold. Furniture and decor are dated, but still very much usable. No bugs except for one spider in the shower. The room itself is clean. The fridge was very clean, like someone took a lot of time cleaning it. Some burnt food marks on the cooktop, but that’s to be expected for what it is. The sheets, blanket, and pillows are very clean - I couldn’t find dirty spots using my UV and black lights. The main door, however, has a gap on the bottom, and you can smell whatever your neighbors are smoking. At night, it was somewhat loud until 2am; people were walking around and moving furniture upstairs, and people were checking in late and talking loud outside. I never felt unsafe at any point. This area is well-patrolled by the Fairfax County Sheriff office. You have 3 eateries within 2 minute walking distance, but you could always Uber to the Reston Town Center for a lot more options just 5 minute drive away. Overall, I’d recommend this place for single females with kids.

Absolutely loved my experience here. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and well taken care of. The decor was modern and stylish, and the room had a great view. The bed was super comfortable, and the breakfast buffet was a nice bonus with lots of variety. The hotel went above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable. Will definitely be staying again next time I’m in town!
