Just enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Goliath am Dom. Located an easy 15 minute walk from the train stage and in a great location to visit all the major sites in Regensburg. The room was beautiful and very comfortable. The breakfast was outstanding and there are several excellent restaurants for dinner nearby. The spa was much enjoyed after a long day of sightseeing.

We stayed at the Goliath Hotel in Regensburg for two nights this August, and unfortunately, our experience fell short of expectations, especially for a hotel that markets itself as five-star. The most noticeable shortcomings were evident at breakfast. Despite calling ahead to request gluten-free bread for my husband, who has an allergy, we were informed on the first morning that they had run out. This was incredibly disappointing and, frankly, a first in our many years of traveling. Additionally, we were never provided with any breakfast menus, which added to the overall sense of disorganization. The hotel’s decor also leaves much to be desired. While not entirely unpleasant, the rooms felt outdated, lacking the modern touch you'd expect from a high-end establishment. The overall ambiance did not match the luxury suggested by the hotel's rating. In retrospect, the price we paid should have been a warning that this is not a true five-star hotel. At best, it aligns more with a three-star experience. If you're looking for genuine luxury in Regensburg, I would recommend exploring other options.

My wife and I stayed here for one night in early September, ‘22, at the end of our Viking River Cruise. We needed a place to stay before picking up our rental car and heading to southern Bohemia in the Czech Republic, and we wanted to be in a convenient location in the picturesque historic area of the city. The Goliath Am Dom was a very good choice and would also be good for a longer stay. We easily arranged for a taxi (cash only) take us from the Viking dock to the hotel and from the hotel to the Avis rental office, which is across the river in the newer section of town. Note, Uber and Bolt do not operate in Regensburg, and cars are restricted in the historic area. As its name implies, the hotel is just around the corner from the Cathedral square. It is very convenient to shops, restaurants, and historic sights, including the river area. The exterior of the building is classic architecture, but the interior is modern and quite attractive. The lobby is adjacent to a café and bar area, and this is where the very good breakfast was served. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Our room (406) was on the top floor overlooking the old town rooftops and a side view of the cathedral spires. It was a very large dormer room, with a clean, simple, Euro-modern decor. It had a comfortable king bed, two night stands with outlets nearby, a desk, a sofa, and a built-in closet with a safe. The wifi was strong and fast. The good-sized attractive bathroom had adequate counter space and a separate toilet room. All in all, the Goliath was a very good choice for our short stay, and would be also good for a longer visit. We recommend it highly.

mid hotel in a great country, great city with an amazing culture. should go to the Museums café or the weichmanns instead. but amazing waiters at the café restaurant so thats nice. more over there are personnalities coming here. expensive too

Beautifully situated hotel in the center of town near the river and all shopping/restaurants. Staff was all incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. We were able to check in early without hesitation. Room was clean, modern, and well equipped. Breakfast offered a typical European breakfast spread. All high quality items. Decor is unique and sophisticated. Great views of the city from the 4th floor! Would recommend and return! Service is impeccable.

Had a lovely 2 weeks whilst training with Krones. My room was on the 4th floor which wasn't a problem (had a beautiful view over the rooftops) Room was always warm and clean, as was the rest of the hotel. Food was delicious and the staff were very attentive and polite. The An Dom Goliath is a credit to the beautiful city of Regensberg Would highly recommend this hotel

Large, beautiful quiet room overlooking the pretty streets of Regensburg, wonderful staff, great location in the middle of the old town. Rates were good. Nice bathrooms, amenities, bedding. We would happily stay here again. Regensburg itself, is also charming. You can see everything you need to see on foot. Plenty of places to eat, shop and see.

This hotel, quite simply, is a gem! First, the staff is friendly, helpful, considerate and thoroughly professional. The gentleman who checked me in the late afternoon yesterday 1 November (and whose name, unfortunately, I forgot) gave me a wonderfully interesting introduction to Regensburg and its fabulous history. The hotel is right in the middle of the old city, Germany’s really only genuine medieval city. Literally everything is right there. So many restaurants within a stone’s throw that if you’re only there for 1 night you have to flip a coin to decide where to eat. The hotel is spotless and the service is tip top. Oh yes, you’re right around the corner from St Peter’s-i.e.-the Regensburg-Cathedral, an absolutely gorgeous gothic masterpiece. I am temporarily using a cane after an ankle operation, and the kindness and consideration the staff gave me is something I’ll never forget. It goes without saying that I’ll be back without a cane and will spend more than just one day at this wonderful hotel and city.
