We spent a good night at this hotel. I like the style of the hotel, and everything here is satisfied. Expecially I saw the starry sky that night our there in the backyard, it made me totally calmed down and relaxed after three hours driving.
My wife had a good sleep that night, so in the morning of the next day she bought the same kind of pillow and we brought it back to China, thanks for the housekeeper very much, you are very kindly.

The motel part of this resort is something out of the past... it is an old motel with small rooms...however, the rooms are clean and the beds comfortable. I would guess the motel was built in the 1950's. The bathrooms are a little old and small. They have flatscreen TV's. One can park their car right in front of the unit (I love that!). The grounds of the motel are quite expansive...the units have little back patios, there is a nice-looking pool, and there is a campground on the property.

Big room, and nice woman at check-in who offered sightseeing advice, but pricey because there's not much else in the area. Parking was right in front of the room. It was old and a bit weathered. The shower could've been cleaner. The motel is also near the RV camping by the river. Warning that there are almost not food options in the area, so it might be best to bring your own.

Pros: Neat lil property with mini golf, other amenities and access to river. Room was spacious and the check-in with gentleman was efficient and welcoming.
Cons: Front office smells of cat urine.
Beds are hard.
There was a rude older lady that barked at me and my husband as we walked our leashed dogs on the property. She assumed we were NOT guests, then accused us of not mentioning our dogs at check-in. All not true. She demanded to know which room we were in, we told her and she said, ok that is a pet friendly room. Then spun on her heels and walked back into the office. She was the opposite of a gracious host. She definitely soured our stay.

This is a great value for the price. It's a, older, homey little resort with a great pool and super-friendly staff. Very laid back with pets allowed.
They have fire pits available and we stayed in one of the hotel rooms where we were able to have a fire right out the back patio from our room.
Families were playing on the lawn and the kids were perfectly safe to run around well into dark, swim in the pool, and have fun without worry of cars or strangers.
I would definitley come back!

Nice room for a night or two (I was passing through on my way to Oregon from So Cal). I was in room 10. It felt spacious, especially travling alone. High ceilings with wood beams gave it a nice rustic feel.
There is Laundry on one side and public bathroom (for the pool area maybe) on the other, so no direct neighbors to speak of (room had its own shower)… it was quiet. Very friendly staff. Pod coffee and tea in the room.
Patio was sufficient. It had a table with a couple chairs and it was nice to chill with a drink after a long day on the road and just gaze out over the grass into the mountains.
I’d stay here again.

We have stayed at Dean Creek multiple times and enjoy it every time. This time, we got a cabin with a full kitchen, a tent site for our boys, and an RV site for some friends. It's very close to the Avenue of the Giants. We made use of the jacuzzi every night. It was quiet at night which can be hard to find at a campground. The staff always takes great care of us.
