We booked our wedding here, from the first visit to leaving the morning after our wedding, it was exceptional! The staff are so friendly and helpful, they give their all for everyone. Nothing was too much, the bedrooms are gorgeous and so comfortable. All our guests have complimented the venue and staff. We couldn't have wished for a better day. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you so much!

We had our wedding at the old rectory house on the 27th of August. The venue is absolutely stunning - all of our guests were amazed by the looks of the building and the grounds from the beginning. We decided to have our wedding and meal outside under the stretch tent. Everything was beautiful and even though it was raining for a little bit during the ceremony - it made the whole experience feel even more cosy. Food was incredible and the service was smooth. Special shout out to Ellie who made our whole preparation so smooth and helped a llllllot. I was running around like a headless chicken decorating the last bits and she was just there floating like a beautiful swan and nothing looked like stress to her. At the end just before the ceremony guests started t arrive it was all done and it all looked like something out of our dreams. The bar team was incredible too. Both Caitlin and Alex were superstars and always had a smile on and said something lovely to our guests at the bar. All in all a hidden gem tucked away and we feel lucky to have found it. Thank you ORH for making my wedding the most beautiful day of my life. Thank you ❤️

We hired Old Rectory House for our wedding vow renewal in June 2025 and it was absolutely amazing! In the lead up to the event, Ellie was so attentive and accommodating. The venue staff on the day were lovely, friendly and the food was out of this world (caterers were recommended by the venue). The house itself is gorgeous and we had the start of the lovely hot weather in June so most guests sat outside on the evening. We hired the 9 bedrooms and all guests were delighted with no issues at all. I must call out Jackie, I swear that lady was just wonderful on the day and she let us dress the venue early on too. We are now considering planning another event so that we can come back again! Thank you to Ellie and the team at the Old Rectory House. From Sharon & Doug Dyer xx

After ten years together we decided to marry on the tenth anniversary of meeting for the first time - 27 August 2025 We chose the Old Rectory at Ipsley and what a great decision this was. Our Wedding turned out to be even more wonderful than we planned it to be. The house and grounds are perfect and helped us to create the intimate, private and classy atmosphere we were looking for. We married in the stretch tent but had full use and access to all the facilities. The staff were excellent and the wedding organiser Ellie catered for our every need. No complaints about anything - everything went to plan. The Old Rectory is the perfect venue for this most beautiful moment in your life. Massive thanks to the owners and staff you made our day and gave us a perfect start to the rest of our lives

We attended a family wedding and stayed the night in the redwood room which was located in the original building, we loved the original quirkiness of it. We had a fabulous stay. Would love to thank Adam for our tour round the property and our fresh figs from the tree! And Jackie who was just wonderful (thanks for the chocolate muffins, just what we needed after the night before, big kisses) Highly recommend! From the Aberdeen crew x

The place is quite, peaceful, and clean. The staff is very helpful and they did more than enough to ensure that all our requests are received. We’ve had the venue as well and it was so nice, highly recommended

Check in was a palava, arrived at 7.30pm and had to phone the out of hours check in. Was not emailed a code (not sure why as booked through business account). Manager did respond to text message and sent code. On arrival the room was hot, in the middle of a heat wave! The portable air con unit was a fan at best and did not really cool the room much. Room was nicely furnished, bed was super comfy. Some little irritations like the tea/coffee station being on a table that was less than knee high, I am only 5’4 and it came up to my shin. Had to bend ridiculously just to make a cup of tea. Mirror in bathroom was shoulder height so I had to bend again to put my make up on. The TV was attached to the wall, as a single traveller it was ok as I was able to move all the way over to the right side of the bed. If I was part of a couple the person on the left of the bed would not be able to see the TV as the four poster bed and drapes blocked the view. No restaurant on site, so had to go to the local pub for dinner which was fine. It also meant no breakfast. In general this is a beautiful venue, a wedding or party would be perfect. Personally I prefer a good old Premier Inn purely for the air con/heating system, perfectly formed bathroom and easy to watch tv

Myself and my wife Lorna, celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary at The Old Rectory and it was an unforgettable night, not only for all the friends and family who came but also because of the amazing staff and organization of everyone who works there. There was not one negative comment from one person about anything. Euan and Alex were on bar duty and generally looking after people were brilliant, the buffet was just amazing, and wonderfully presented, and again the staff were great. We had all bedrooms booked for family and friends, and they were all in awe of the way the bedrooms are presented. It is a fantastic old building having been restored in such a sympathetic manner. We cannot praise Ellie, the events organiser, enough. She took us through all the arrangements for the party, and was always on hand to answer any questions no matter how small. The breakfast Sunday morning provided by the catering company, was also excellent. Also, the lovely Jackie who was on cleaning duty on Sunday, deserves a mention, as she has time to stop and chat with a flash of Irish charm. Overall we cannot speak highly enough of The Old Rectory and would recommend it to anyone who wants the perfect experience for a special party. Once again a massive thank you to Ellie, Euan, Alex, Jackie and the caterers for giving us truly magical night we will always remember. Thank you everybody. Nick and Lorna .
