I booked a POOLSIDE room. It was an extra $30. Which is across a parking lot and a tall fence. I'm even on the second floor.I can't even see the pool. I consider a POOLSIDE room to be a POOLSIDE. walk out your room to the pool.Don't waste your money on a POOLSIDE room. It's a joke!!!! There are NO POOLSIDE ROOMS. The pool is locked behind a 6 foot fence. All the rooms in the pictures are considered poolside. Our room is on the far right, second floor. I can't even see the pool.

The room was dirty. There were debris and a plastic wrapper on the floor. There was a piece of dirt / leaf debris between the bed sheets. An outlet near the bed was broken and unsafe and unusable. One of the towels had been used and not replaced. There was no microwave and no glass cups or mugs -- just plastic and paper. The mattress was lumpy, and it sagged significantly to the middle of the bed. It clearly should have been replaced years ago. I saw what appeared to be a car prowler in the parking lot. A man was checking car doors. When he saw me watching, he hid behind a couple of large containers. I reported it to one of the security guards. For a Best Western Plus, I was gravely disappointed. I expect more than what was more akin to a rundown cheap motel. I mentioned all of this when I checked out. The staff person took notes and told me that her manager would call me. It has been 2 full days, and I still have not received a call or an email.

If you want to stay at the "Best" Best Western Hotel, stay at the Hilltop location in Redding, California. The place is clean, staff very polite and helpful. They also have a Cocktail Lounge (Limited Hours) inside and an outside patio seating area. It's off Interstate 5, and set-back in a quiet area. There's a great Steak House, within a 5 to 10 minute walk from the Hotel Lobby. You'll also find a Costco Gas Statiion just one exit south on the Interstate.

We were amazed at what a nice hotel this was during our drive down the 5. Nice, comfortable room & very accomodating staff. The restaurant/lounge area had a great ambience, indoor/outdoor seating and, plenty of tvs for various sports. Great upscale menu at reasonable prices. Our Chicken/Bacon/Pepperoni Pizza was to die for. We would definitely stay here again!

Pet owners beware. Restaurant is not friendly to pets. While hotel accepts pets for $40 fee, connecting restaurant has no pet policy, even on patio.

My son and I did an impromptu overnight trip to explore Redding, Shasta and see Burney Falls. We were so happy to have stayed at this Best Western. The place was nice, clean and all the staff were kind, friendly, helpful and just overall amazing. One of the staff recommended great places to see and how best to maximize out one day visit in the area. So grateful to everyone there. And my sons loved the nice pool & spa! We look forward to going back again.

expected a lot more, and the reviews were so good!
Our room was given to another person after we checked in….no apology from the front desk and we would have never known except that we saw the people enter when we returned from dinner! Also, bath tub VERY slow draining (above ankle water while showering), and mild is growing around tub. Paying $200 I
