The staff are the stars of the experience - uniformly friendly and helpful. Folks behind the check-in desk, in front of the restaurant, wait staff and random staff met in the hallways as they engaged in their tasks - all friendly and warm. Gym and pool were terrific. The Cheers Bistro dinners were delicious and the breakfast buffet was a great value with a wide variety of tasty options including custom juices, blintzes fresh fruit and all the traditional offerings. My one-year old granddaughter enjoyed walking the lobby and eating in the dining room and the staff were so wonderful with her. The room was clean and quiet and well stocked. Appreciated the fridge in the room. Convenient location to access key locations in reading. The neighborhood is a bit dilapidated but the hotel is an oasis.

Never expected our stay to be this great. From check in to check out I understand why they score so highly. Clean, friendly, attentive. If you are looking to book Do IT! Traveling with our daughter for a la Ross tournament and stumbled upon this hotel. I'd come back time and time again.

This stay at this facility was one of the worst experiences, it is in inner city with no green space, unsafe to venture out at night, we booked the room which advertised breakfast included only to learn that was discontinued a year ago, finally- the icing on the cake- received a $45. Parking ticket in the mail yesterday for using the hotel parking of which we had provided our license plate. In order to rectify this I had to submit our receipt, when I called the hotel and spoke to Nick and asked him to email me the copy, he basically told me to take a picture of our incidental bill and send, despite the fact that I requested an email sent. NO customer service - will not recommend nor use their facility again!

I have stayed at this particular DoubleTree hotel since its grand opening in the city of Reading, PA. Due to a couple of graduation events going on across the street at the Santander center, parking at the hotel was next to non--existent . We un loaded our luggage and left the premises, and returned after 9 pm.
