Lakeside Resort

This resort is a 10 in the Watkins Glen area. The rooms were clean, comfortable and spacious. Pets are welcome. The grounds are beautiful: well groomed and the flowers are beautiful. Close to Watkins Glen but far enough out to get that peaceful, quietness. Food was good and within many budgets. Will go again!

Clean cabin near drive to Watkins Glen with its own easy short walking trails. We saw wild deer! Unfortunately no lake access. Host was much more friendly than we’ve met in the rest of NY. Thank you!

We had booked our one night stay for a room February 9, 2025 for our stay this past Saturday October 11th. Which was $237.50 plus tax. We flew in from Atlanta, Georgia drove from Buffalo airport straight to resort looking forward to a relaxing evening just relaxing at the resort. But upon checking in at 630pm ( due to an unexpected two hour waiting inline for rental car reservation at airport). We told the person who checked us in we were hungry and would like to eat there. She looked around ( there were empty tables) then told us they could not accommodate us due to reservations. So we left went in town of Watkins Glen, where we drove around for 30 minutes just to find a parking spot. Then an hour wait to eat in town on top of our already long day. ( so bring food with you there is fridge and microwave in room). We then got back to room later after all this to a very low pressure shower!! At this point I just simply wanted to cry. We didn't get to enjoy any of the resort amenities while searching for food. We checked out in morning and choose to eat in town since we were convinced if they were that busy for dinner with people staying probably couldn't accommodate us for breakfast either. We did find a local place Tobey's donut shop ( they serve full sit down breakfast coffee eggs, hash browns, toast) and of course amazing homemade donuts!! Go early at opening, awesome service!! Lakeside resort has potential its appearance is great but the water pressure needs fixed and address food service to the guests staying at the resort. Once back at the room on amenities sheet handed to us I did see on the back side real small a QR code to order take out but the person who checked us in directed us into town didn't even mention this as an option or probably wasn't due to how busy they stated they were and couldn't accommodate us. We will not return after this disappointment of services at this price point. $266 after taxes for a room.

My husband and I had a wonderful two nights stay at Lakeside resort! Its location is ideal… just a few minutes driving from town (shops, cafes, breweries, marina), very close to Watkins Glen Park for hiking, and conveniently located near numerous wineries. We had a wonderful view of the lake from our balcony! The resort doesn’t have lake access, but we drive about 10 minutes to go kayaking on Seneca lake. The hotel room was very clean & comfortable. The breakfast in the hotel’s café is delicious and affordable. We also loved the walking trail and mini waterfall on the grounds of the resort. Such a scenic place with wonderful/friendly staff. I definitely recommend this resort and hope to return in the future!

Excellent Place to Stay Our stay was amazing! Had a delicious dinner at their Bistro! Friendly Service! Overall a great experience! Definitely would recommend.

Relaxing Stay One night stay between wine tasting and visiting the Watkins Glen State Park. Very nice welcoming hotel. We especially enjoyed the property tour by Rocky the Chocolate Lab mascot.
