Castle at Edgehill

The staff were excellent. The restaurant food was good and the view over Warwickshire country was lovely. But the the 'Prince Rupert' double room was poor. Sold as a some of the quirky features you would expect from an 18th. century castle" it need an update. Both the rusty, cast iron single windows wouldn't stay shut and the Linoleum in the bathroom is not fitted, too short on one side, too large on the other. I wouldn't like to stay where in the winter, with the dated 'Economy 7 meter'. The 'delightful four poster' is from 1990s IKEA one and doesn't look like the website photos. I'm 67. MTB cycle every day & still play football. If you have any mobility issues you wouldn't be able to get up to the 'Prince Rupert' room, with a very narrow and tall stairs . Nothing mentioned on the Website. The evening dinner (with a bottle of wine) was £120. had paid £150 for the room. Was given a £40 discount next day (£110) for the room, with breakfast of a Croissant & 'Weetabix' each, two cup of coffee, No 'English Tea Breakfast'. Very disappointed and won't be back.

Will definitely be staying again in the future. We had a lovely two night stay here. The staff were attentive and thorough. The room was impressive we stayed in the Cromwell suit and the restaurant was delicious. There is nothing negative I can write about our stay.

Never could check in. Place was closed up tight. Never got the code until I found another hotel
