Decent service, satisfying breakfast. Good location, but hard to control the room temperature with the air conditioner.

The room is very good. The service is good. There is a maid who comes to clean the room as advertised. On the 3rd floor, there is a swimming pool.

The reception hardly speaks any English, the stairs are steep, but don't expect any help, there isn't any, and there's no elevator either. The worst part is the noise from the air conditioning splinters, not just in your room but also in your neighbors'. You can't get earplugs, and the structure-borne noise in the concrete building transmits the hum. The highlight is the rooftop pool, and the WiFi is good. If I hadn't paid in advance, I would have left!

I booked a de luxe room, which was a disappointment. AC was very weak, no hand soap and quality of shower gel and shampoo very poor. Also they don't understand the hospitality concept: the reception and coffee shop staff didn't speak English and were very rude and unhelpful. The hotel looked not kept in good standards. It's a pity because could be a nice place with a good location.

I really wanted to like this place as it looks kind of quirky / funky and I especially liked that it was off a main road area so I was expecting a quite night, but unfortunately not. It's a little difficult to find the place, at least at night, which is OK and expected as I wanted something secluded and quiet. We arrived and all was good, very nice girl at reception and man who directed us to some places we might like to try for dinner. The room looked OK and as mentioned, it's a little quirky however, the pillows/cushions had a weird smell to them so we put them aside. Not sure these have ever been replaced or cleaned in anyway. The room we got had a street light directly outside the window and even though we had heavy blinds, they clearly are not blackout style. So we had a fairly light filled room for the night, which I probably could have dealt with but the biggest issue was the extremely loud air conditioner. This thing sounded like a generator powering the entire town. Given the heat we had no choice but to leave it on and try our best the sleep. Needless to say I got zero sleep...not great considering I had a 5 hr drive ahead of us to get to Phuket. There are a few other hotels in the area and I would be looking at those if I'm ever back in the area.
