The service throughout was first class, with every member of staff attentive and genuinely warm. Breakfast and all meals were excellent — beautifully presented, consistently high quality, and served with real care. A real highlight was the private dining experience. If you want to set this up, they’ll charge £65 a head to arrange it. It’s genuinely worth it — an atmospheric setting, impeccable service, and a brilliant way to make a night extra special. That said, food and alcohol are expensive — particularly the drinks. Some of the alcohol markups are 5–6× what you’d pay in the UK, which does take the shine off slightly. And finally, the shower pressure could be better — that’s what cost the stay one point from a perfect 10. Overall, an exceptional stay in a breathtaking location. A special place, just go in with your eyes open about the bar prices."
