I liked this hotel and enjoyed our stay here. Having a balcony room, there were great views out over the market place and harbour out to sea. The rooms and hotel in general were spotlessly clean and nicely maintained. The bathroom was adequately sized and the bed comfortable but the size of the rooms didn’t allow two chairs, desk or even decent sized bedside tables so although very tastefully done, it was a bit small. No tea and coffee facilities etc, very basic. There were several gripes about this along with tiny bath towels, a shower head that either sprayed the entire bathroom or barely ran and paper-thin walls. The biggest let down however was breakfast which for 9.5 Euros per pppn seemed a lot when what was offered was basic and not very good including not very pleasant coffee from a machine. What happened to beautifully fresh bread and croissants and cafetière coffee which France is famed for? We didn’t try the restaurant downstairs, suspect it wasn’t actually part of the hotel but it was way too pricey anyway with several excellent places nearby at half the cost. Overall, we still enjoyed our stay and if the breakfast was better we’d be inclined to offer four stars.
