Align Inn Vermont

We were on our way to visit the Woodstock area without a reservation when we happily discovered this motel next to the Quechee Gorge. Stephanie at the front desk kindly welcomed us at check-in and suggested nearby restaurants for dinner options. Our room was clean, cozy, and adequately appointed. The complimentary breakfast had several basic options. The microwave breakfast sandwich was quite good.

From the pictures and reviews online giving ALIGN the highest marks in Quechee, I didn’t realize it was the former Quality Inn on route 4. When we arrived to our room I realized that it was just the same as the old motel perhaps with a new coat of paint! The rooms are tiny, mattresses are springy back breakers, bathroom so tight you can barely get inside to close the door and the mini fridge made too many noises that it was a bad joke coming to over $200 a night! Wow! Upon heading to the breakfast area the next am, I found it consistent with the rest-absolutely UNdrinkable coffee that looked like tea water, a few selections of cardboard looking breads and muffins as well as heat your own commercially packaged breakfast sandwiches. Needless to say we had to scoot and head to Jake’s for nourishment. Yuk. Seems to me that the motel management is drastically cutting costs wherever it can at the risk of getting no return customers. All in all-head to another close by town for lodging and don’t be fooled by Align’s reviews and pictures.

This was once a motel now called an inn. It was clean and nothing special honestly. It’s very quiet in the area and not much to do except see the Quechee gorge which is right there. They include a continental breakfast but we opted to drive to King Arthur Store for their delicious breads and pastries.

Comfort of the bed/pillows. Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent bteakfast choices. Would recommend!

We arrived late at night after a long day of driving. I booked through a third party site and accidentally selected the wrong check-in date (a day later). I was exhausted and Chelsea at the front desk was amazing. She helped me work with the third party and had a room available for the right night. We asked if there was a place to get water and she gave us two bottles of water. Her service and customer care was top notch. I liked that we parked right outside the room so it was easy to bring our belongings in and out. It was very quiet and the grounds very well kept. Our room was clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed for a nice stay. The location was convenient to where we were traveling from and too. I would highly recommend, not only for the facility but also for the customer service.

Stayed here with my son during February vacation and I was very pleasantly surprised. Staff was kind, pool was clean and with plenty of towels, breakfast had good quality options. I would highly recommend. They need more positive reviews here, as the current 3.5 does not in anyway reflect the quality of this place. It is recently renovated, the bed was comfortable, and the room was warm on a really cold and windy night. I've stayed in many VT motels where those basic needs aren't met. Ignore the bad reviews and enjoy a pleasant stay!
