Newly opened and family run, this boutique hotel is located right on the western edge of Malta. For those looking to get out of the big cities and experience the Blue Grotto from land or by boat, this is a great choice. The terraced dining experience allows you to watch the sunset over the sea while enjoying an exquisite taste of Malta and what the Mediterranean has to offer. The service of both the family running Deep Blu and the staff is excellent, they go out of their way to help you and enhance your experience while traveling Malta.

Lovely new boutique hotel just steps away from the Blue Grotto. Family owned and managed with great care. We were upgraded to a beautiful suite where we had an unobstructed view of the sunset from our terrace. The room and bathroom were very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The indoor pool and sauna looked wonderful though we didn’t have time to enjoy them. The location is perfect for enjoying a swim in the sea, taking a boat ride, or walking along a well-maintained path with amazing views of the cliffs, water, and Filfla island. Definitely recommend a stay at DeepBlu!

My stay at the Deep Blu Boutique hotel on the beautiful and quieter west coast of Malta, close to the impressive Blue Grotto and the temples of Hagar Qim, has been truly wonderful. This is a superb hotel in a unique location! For the staff it seems natural to make sure their guests have a perfect stay. And they absolutely succeed in doing so! The rooms are beautifully designed and furnished and very comfortable. If you can stay in a superior room with sea view, as I could, you'll wake up with view on the vast Mediterranean illuminated by the morning sunlight and you'll be able to view the sunset from just that same place. But the ambiance of the hotel is marvelous whichever room you stay in. I hope to be back some time in the future and for now keep wonderful memories :-) Thank you!

We stayed one night at the Deep Blu Boutique Hotel in August 2024. The hotel is sumptuous, we had the most beautiful suite: sea view and jacuzzi on the terrace. The hotel staff takes great care of the guests. The restaurant is fabulous with a superb view of the sea. For us, it is the most beautiful hotel in Malta! I highly recommend the place, room 11 is exceptional! Thank you for the warm welcome. We will be back!

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful family run boutique hotel. The rooms, amenities, and service were outstanding. We had one problem with our air conditioning and it was addressed and fixed right away. The hotel is a short (15 minute) car or Uber ride away to Valetta. There are also some great bars and restaurants in the immediate area of the hotel. Only word of caution is that everything around the hotel - including the hotel restaurant itself - stops serving at 10pm. This is understandable given that the area is outside of the center but coming from NYC, we had to adjust a bit! But it was well worth it!

We can highly recommend this small family run boutique hotel. We received a really lovely warm welcome from the owners and their son Kurt. Nothing was too much trouble and we had a lovely surprise when we had some Prosecco and a card left on the bed, we were celebrating our Golden Wedding. The restaurant serves high quality food well cooked and presented beautifully. Breakfast is a real feast cooked to order from a nice varied list on the menu. There is parking near the hotel and no charge. The location is ideal in a peaceful sea view setting away from the hubbub of the major resorts. Only 10 mins from the airport, no noise from the planes. If we return to Malta this hotel will be our home. Thank you to you all for a memorable time.

What a treat! Beautiful, warm and friendly family. The hotel and restaurant seem to be run mostly by the son who is 24 and a very talented hotelier and restauranteur. Everything is top quality, while at the same time feeling personal and intimate.

Possibly one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The welcome was attentive and the staff treat us in the same wonderfully accommodating way throughout our stay. The cleanliness and quality of each little additional touch added to the luxury of the experience. The views from the room were stunning. The whole place was peace filled. We enjoyed the comfort throughout. If you’re planning a trip to Malta, make this your first priority when looking for accommodation. Huge love for this family run place of perfection.
