Barceló Tiran Sharm

The hotel is just amazing, the service absolutely outstanding, staff were extremely friendly and responded to our requirement, a special thanks to all the animation team, they rock and made of our stay a unique experience! I miss all the team …Saio, Anna, ksucha….definitely will come back. The food and restaurant service were extremely good, diverse and tasty !! I highly recommend this hotel

Recently returned home from a week at the Barcelo Tiran Sharm and can honestly say we had a lovely time there. Unfortunately the pool was out of action due to renovation (which our travel agent had not informed us of) but we were able to enjoy the beach and, when the wind dropped and the green flags were out, meant we were able to take a dip in the beautiful sea. The staff at the Barcelo were amazing and could not do enough for us. The gentleman who cleaned our rooms always had a smile on his face, was very polite, brought us lots of goodies to make our stay better (dressing gowns, slippers, bathroom goodies) and created some amazing towel art. The boys behind the bar really looked after us in the evenings - our glasses never quite emptied before they were there with fresh drinks for us. The staff in the a la carte restaurant made a special effort for out table on the evening we went for a meal to celebrate my brother's birthday, and everyone generally around the hotel and outside areas was so polite and helpful. The beach staff were friendly and helpful, particularly in terms of setting up our sunbathing area with the wind-breaks to make sure we had plenty of sun but also kept out of the wind (which blew quite cod at times, even in the warm sun). However, the icing on the cake was the restaurant Manager (Besam - I hope I spelt his name correctly), who took great care of me when he learnt I had a nut allergy. Every meal time he was there to check with the chefs if there was anything I couldn't eat and always offered to have something made for me if required. I couldn't eat the desserts, unfortunately, but he always brought me some ice-cream and strawberries for my dessert. The chefs were all lovely, and produced some delicious food over the week we were there. There was plenty of choice, including some specials each day, and everything was tasty. The salads were fresh, and the wine lovely in the evenings. We visited the gym while we were there, and found it well equipped with machines and weights for a holiday workout, and there were lots of activities going on during the day, if you wanted to take part, as well as entertainment during the evening. Once the main pool is back up and running, it will add to what is already a lovely location for a holiday as the beach is extensive and the views are amazing. I definitely recommend this hotel and would stay again if we ever go back to this area.
