W Costa Navarino

Very beautiful property by the beach with magnificent bay views. Rooms are big and modern with very comfy beds and pillows. Several pools with plenty of sunloungers and extra fluffy towels. Very good quality breakfast with extensive choice, and many food options for dinner in the Agora “village” within the premises. The only issue is the service at breakfast, which is lacklustre and feels a bit chaotic. All in all, I will recommend this hotel and will be glad to stay here again!

We had a great 7 night stay at the W. A stunning location, lovely room on the top floor, great selection of buffet and a la carte and setting for breakfast with lovely pools and beach options. Good range of dining options across the hotels and local villages/towns. Also liked the fact that adults only as our children have now grown up. Would definitely return.

We stayed at the W Hotel for the Iron Man event, where my husband was competing, and I want to sincerely thank Kostas Kanaris for his amazing help! He assisted us at the very last minute to find a room, and although everything seemed fully booked, he handled the situation perfectly and with true professionalism. Kostas was kind, efficient, and went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of — something we appreciated deeply during such a stressful time. Thanks to him, we were able to relax and truly enjoy our stay. People like Kostas make all the difference! The W Hotel is already an incredible place, but he is definitely a huge asset to the team. We would absolutely choose this hotel again!

I wanted to love this resort and was hoping for somewhere closer to the UK to travel to. Unfortunately, our stay at the W Costa Navarino was plagued with service issues. After four days in Athens, we drove ourselves to the resort. We arrived at this gorgeous modern complex with views of the sea and resort from the reception desk. We were welcomed by a very friendly staff. Our swim up room was nicely located. After entering our room, we loved the layout and decor. The big disappointing surprise was the very small roll away bed provided. I am only 157 cm, and the bed was nearly too small for me, let along my son who the bed was provided for. We had expected a sofa bed as detailed on BA's website (we booked via BA Holidays) and the Costa Navarino website. We do not hold the hotel accountable for this, but how the situation was later handled or rather not handled. After notifying the front desk the bed was too small, the only solution offered was to upgrade to a suite which we debated. However, the upgrade was offered at an extra 400 euros per night. I asked if there was any flexibility on the upgrade price and was told no. No other options were given and there did not seem to be any concerns for our concerns regarding the bed. Furthermore, during our stay we met two our guests who were given upgrades to suites - free of charge. They were in lower category rooms than us and had no idea why they had been upgraded. We offered to pay something to be upgraded, but this was rejected yet met others who were upgraded for free. This just felt a bit unfair considering our situation. We were not looking for a free upgrade. Our first night, my son slept on the extra bed provided and it was just too small for him. The rollaway bed provided was not standard. It was child sized for a resort that does not allow children under the age of 12. The rest of our stay, I slept on the bed which was extremely uncomfortable. After my first night, I requested and additional mattress to put on top of the existing mattress from a young lady at the front desk. I explained the situation and she seemed to understand, but the extra mattress never came to put on top of the existing. We also had lots of problems with the air conditioning - which was fixed remotely for us several times. The air conditioning would stop working, often in the night, which made my already sleepless nights worse. Housekeeping was very hit and miss. Our linen was not changed every other day as stated and I had to request this. Housekeeping also came very late between 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm on some days. We always put our green light on as we headed off to breakfast or if we were not going to being our room. On one occasion, my son and husband were off-site golfing or playing tennis. I was sitting by our pool. I believe housekeeping came about 4:00 pm and I stated it was fine to clean the room, and I stayed outside. Nice 5 star hotel in a great location, stunning views and overall very good. Rooms very well appointed, nice showers and bathroom. Fresh still bottled water replaced daily, which is needed. Rooms well insulated from sound, solid doors had some pretty amazing sleeps! Food: restaurants on the whole very good if expensive, we were half board and we still averaged an additional cost of 100 Euro’s each per day for food and drink, even though we were half board we ended up choosing from the non half board evening meal a la carte menu (much more variety)and as such, you do get a 49 euro discount per person however, we ended up going way over that each night, excluding alcohol and we never ate desserts, but we did eat lunch daily at the pool. The food quality was very good at the hotel main restaurants, good selection of well prepared locally Influenced dishes. Amazing tomatoes and salads as you would expect, good fresh fish too. Highly recommend Parelia, we ate there the most. Fresh baked sourdough bread with the tomato and feta salad is a must! Also the Green Pepper cafe well worth a visit, great staff - we ate lunch there several times and highly recommend the oat pancakes! We opted to walk to the small local hamlet about a 20 minute walk along the beach 1 day and had a great lunch of high quality local dishes and for about a 1/3 of the price you pay at the hotel. We also went into Pylos via cab, one evening lots of local restaurants here and a lovely square where the locals chill, chat and eat. Had a great meal at Koukos, very good Greek food and again a lot cheaper than at the hotel and it was nice to get out of the resort for an evening and take in some local culture. Daily breakfast at the hotel was great, three different serving buildings one a bakery, one fruit and breakfast dishes and the other savory breakfast additions including eggs. All very good with a great selection in each. Eating after 9:30am can get busy and the staff seem slightly overwhelmed often forgetting orders for coffee, cutlery, milk or whatever or taking a long time to deliver on any request. My only complaint breakfast wise rwas the coffee that was served in the metal pots, am a big coffee in the morning fan, the coffee served was little more than slightly Coffee flavored water, incredibly weak, not sure why, it was the same each day. As such we had to go into the coffee shop area and get it topped up with stronger coffee from the machine they had in there which took a while every morning. Golfing: we never golfed but there are several courses nearby, friends of ours golfed at 2 courses and were highly complimentary. Overall an expensive, but good quality well run resort. You will enjoy!
