The facilities are very good, rooms are clean and comfortable, and the pool area is also great. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
The location is what it is. There are many reviews that complain about this, but you can see where it is when you book it… a motorcycle is essential to get around if you want to go to the restaurants and the public beach in the north of the island (very top-notch). If your only interest is the tours they offer, a motorcycle may not be necessary, but we recommend it. You can also rent one from the hotel itself (60 rm per day). Long Beach is only accessible by boat. As a personal recommendation, I prefer this location to Long Beach, as it is 100% equipped for tours and diving. Yes, the beach is beautiful, but more crowded.
In short, if you want complete peace and quiet, taking a tour or going to the public beach on a motorcycle and enjoying the pool is your place. There's nothing else to do.
The only negative I would highlight is the included breakfast. Very, very fair…

Overall, I had a very happy stay. If you want a lively place, this is not suitable. If you want a quiet vacation, it is quite good. There are more white people in the resort.

The accommodations were very clean, and the staff were incredibly friendly. Everyone was warm and kind, which made for a truly enjoyable resort vacation.
When I told the staff what I wanted to do, whether it be a tour of the island, swimming, kayaking, or dining, they were very helpful and made recommendations. Grab isn't available in some remote areas of the island, so they arranged a taxi for me when I needed one. The fare was a little on the higher side, but it was just a round-trip fare, and I was completely safe and confident I wouldn't be ripped off. If you have a driver's license, renting a motorbike is a more economical option.
They also provided a car service to take you to the port if you let them know your return boat time, which was extremely helpful.
The snorkeling tour I booked through the hotel was also very enjoyable, and it's a memorable experience. The pool and food were also excellent, making for a comfortable stay.
However, because it's a resort, food prices are slightly higher than on the Malaysian mainland. Please be aware of this in advance.

I had high hopes for Berjaya, but the hotel is on a hill, the beach is just a small stretch of sand, and there's nothing nearby. There are local restaurants around the jetty, but they have strict hygiene standards for Japanese people, so I had to rely on the hotel restaurant. A round-trip taxi ride costs RM60 to get to the village, where there's a small general store and a Chinese seafood restaurant, but it's not worth RM60. There's no entertainment on the island, just the sea, so I recommend choosing a hotel with a beach.
