The scenery is great, but unfortunately I was unlucky and didn't see the blue tears

Although it takes time to get to Mermaid Island, it's all worth it. You can lie down on the island and participate in various deep diving, snorkeling and sea fishing. I thought it would be boring to stay for two nights, but it was not at all. We didn't want to leave.

What can I say about this hotel? Aside from its location, there's really nothing good about it. 1. The boat broke down shortly after we set out. Instead of returning, the crew tinkered with it and continued on, eventually breaking down midway. Two people, who spoke no English, spent a long time fixing it on their own, unable to communicate what was happening. Everyone on board was left stranded, feeling overwhelmed and dizzy. Several of our group vomited, so we turned back. No other boats were available, so we waited for the troubled boat to be repaired. Eventually, finding it couldn't be fixed, we waited another 40-minute wait for the boat to return. 2. Upon arrival, the front desk staff didn't proactively address the issue. After expressing our dissatisfaction, they offered a 30-minute ATV ride. After repeated requests, they finally gave our group a discount for the children's fee and offered to upgrade us to a newer section of the same room type. However, upon entering, we were met with a strong paint smell. When we left, we were given our old room, which was similar in size and amenities. 3. There was no internet access in the room, no TV signal, and even my phone line was broken. The door lock was a push-to-lock type that easily slipped open. The bathroom facilities were covered in water stains, so you can only imagine the hygiene level. 3. There's only one restaurant, and the food was hard to describe. I spent two nights there, mostly just messing around. The long line for omelets at the breakfast buffet was unbelievable. 4. The snorkeling, which I had been looking forward to, was absolutely deplorable. The water was terrible, and there were no fish to be seen. It was probably because it was free. There were about 20 people on the boat, and only two staff members were assigned, so safety was a hindrance. They took us to a very shallow, safe area, but there was nothing there. It was another sham. I would have avoided wasting time and found a more reliable place on my own. 4. The next day, I mustered up the courage to go out and look for the only other hotel on the island. It was actually about 500 meters to the left of the beach at the pier. I wandered there and saw that it seemed to have been newly built, with more rooms, more facilities, more activities, and a larger restaurant. I ran into a group of Chinese local staff, who said the newer restaurant was the better. In summary, Mantanani Island might be a place worth looking forward to, with its beautiful waters. However, due to my haphazard choice of hotel, the quality of activities on the entire island was extremely poor. I honestly feel like I shouldn't have even made the trip. Also, having read the bus guide to the pier, I emailed and booked a seat well in advance. I clearly stated the number of rooms and the number of people in our group, and received confirmation from the hotel. However, the day of arrival was still quite chaotic. At one point, we were told that the bus didn't have enough space for us, as we had more people than the group. Only after I found the email did they reluctantly allow us to sit with our children on their backs. They also charged the full price for the bus, which included all seven children.

First, a special thank you to the hotel manager, Thomas, for his help. With elderly people and children, we were tossed about on the rough seas that day, and everyone was feeling a bit down. But upon arriving at the hotel, our mood instantly brightened. The friendly service, clean rooms, and stunning ocean views were all excellent. The hotel also provided prompt service, and any issues we had were immediately addressed. I had some initial concerns after reading the reviews, but that wasn't the case. The food was good, the room had hot water, and the staff were very welcoming. It deserves a 5-star rating.

Sutera@Mantanani is a pristine paradise, tucked away from the hustle and bustle! Witness breathtaking sunrises and sunsets. Stroll along the pristine white sands, amidst the azure blue sea. At night, gaze at the Milky Way, a moment of total relaxation. The island's uniquely designed chalet is a delight. The friendly and helpful staff and I secretly planned a candlelight proposal with breathtaking ocean views! It was a complete surprise and deeply moving! The experience was truly perfect. We're already planning a return beach wedding next year! Highly recommended for those seeking a romantic and pristine island destination!
