Marboka Hotel & Suites

Our family of 5 (3 kids under 10) had a great week long stay at the Panoramic Suite in Marboka Hotel. Highlights were: priceless view of the Bay of Banderas on one side and forested hills on the other, wonderful and helpful staff, short bus/taxi into the heart of town (or a short walk), excellent restaurant right downstairs, quiet neighbourhood. Playa Chonchas Chinas is a real gem of a beach which had something for everyone. The suite was spotless, large and exactly as described.

We booked for two nights but left after one, as we did not want to end our trip on such a depressing note. Pros: pretty view from patio and was very clean. Cons: Room smelled of sewage. Poor service, details sorely lacking. Two towels per room, max- even if your room has a tub on patio (though also there are no towel racks to hang them on in bathroom, and no TP holder either). The underlying message being, hotel guests cannot be trusted to not steal towels? No glasses in room other than plastic cups a la Pizza Hut. No coffee with coffee maker- we were told to pay from vending machine for this (though housekeeper did offer us a bag at noon, as we were leaving). Worn, translucent sheets and two twin size pillows on a king size bed. Safe didn’t work. Never anyone at front desk - at check in, when coming or going for dinner, or late at night. They left the front door cracked though so we (and anyone else) could get in. We asked to speak with the manager to discuss our concerns and were told they weren’t available, all we could do was email. We never received a reply.

Absolutely amazing staff and location. The bed was extremely comfortable and everything was clean and lovely. The hot tub on the balcony utterly luxurious. The restaurant underneath had good breakfasts at a fair price. All and all a wonderful time, I hope to return someday.

This place was just as described and better views then you could imagine. Would highly recommend and would look forward to coming back in the future to the area just because of the stay. Great little getaways and coming back to a comfortable spot makes this a true vacation spot.

The most incredible view I've ever had at a hotel. In addition the location was next to the coolest little beach...concha chinas...we were a short bus ride (30 cents) to the heart of Puerto Vallarta...the best value place I've stayed at!!!!
