This hotel is in good location for the beach and town

Just returned from an eleven night stay & couldn’t disagree more with the previous reviews . We arrived around 10 pm & we were checked in quickly & efficiently, paid our €100 deposit which Jet 2 informed us about before we arrived & we were all set in a matter of minutes . We were self catering & only had lunch at the hotel once as we are beach people . The food & drink were nice & reasonably priced. As for the dreaded steps virtually every review mentions them so they shouldn’t come as a suprise to anyone . As previous reviews say taxis are cheap & plentiful & the reception staff are happy to arrange one for you. We priced up hotels on “ the flat” nearer the harbour & found it would add about £350 to the cost of our holiday , that pays for an awful lot of taxis!. Our room was clean & had everything we needed with a great view of the beach below. The only jiggle was although the shower was nice & powerful it did tend to flood the bathroom a bit . Having said that most of the showers we’ve used in Spain tend to do this . As we had a late flight home we enquired about keeping our room till 6pm. We were told to ask on the morning of our last day. We were fortunate & got the ok to keep the room till our transfer was due. PROS Great value for money Professional courteous staff Good location , 10 mins from anywhere Clean rooms & facilities Nice pool , plenty of sunbeds Lovely quiet location Cons Pool doesn’t get the sun till late morning Shower spills We would definitely stay here again if we return to Puerto Rico. Sorry we didn’t get any names but thanks to all the staff for making our holiday so great

After a long day travelling we arrived at this hotel around 10pm very tired. We were met by unfriendly reception staff and were instantly told the rules of the hotel, what we can and cannot do and demanded €100 deposit. We booked through on the beach and were not told at any point about a deposit needing paid. The deposit was to be paid by a credit or debit card which we did not have with us as we only took enough cash for the holiday with us. After a half hour argument with the reception staff we were told to hand over our passports until the next day when we would be required to pay this. I asked them if they wanted me to pop back to the uk for our cards and come back which was obviously a joke but they were not interested in helping even after we explained we knew nothing about this. The next day the receptionist was up banging on the bedroom door with the card reader in her hand demanding payment and told if we didn’t pay there and then we would be asked to leave the hotel immediately which was very unfair as we had paid the full amount for our stay. This made us feel very uncomfortable and on edge. This went on for the next 4 days until eventually they gave up but kept our passports. Our passport would only be returned if they agreed the room was in ok condition. This really did spoil our holiday as we did not feel welcome in the hotel. Customer service was very poor. Thankfully we did get our passports back at check out but their attitude was terrible. Hotel was clean but lots of stairs to get up and down from main restaurants and beach. We booked a superior double room with a sea view and were given 2 single beds made up as single beds pushed together and we could see the shore and the beach no sea view which again they would not help us fix after we complained. Would not return to this hotel, I have visited Puerto Rico on many occasions and this is by far the worst hotel Iv stayed in there. Very basic hotel. Breakfast was basic but did the job.

This is the second time we had stayed at the Nachosol, we enjoyed it so much in 2023 we returned. One big negative point is that since the last time we came, they have removed happy hour for 2for1 drinks and prices have been increased for the drinks, meaning value for money is not the best. One thing I also noticed (not really the fault of the hotel) was how many groups of loud drunk people would come back at all hours. Didn’t bother us last time as we were on the ground floor but this time you could hear them from the hallways and even in the rooms, so maybe some sort of soundproofing would be ideal as this woke us up on a few nights. The positives however are just about everything else! The hotel is clean and tidy, the staff are great and really helpful, the place is really relaxing and location wise it’s bang on, although there are a few stairs - it’s no more than €5 for a taxi back from the centre if needed. Breakfast is good to and the coffees they do at the bar are unbelievable - the best I’ve ever had in GC! Overall another great stay!

We stayed on the 3 floor in the Natchasol (hotel) part.great view of the beach thank you for placing us on the top floor after our request in advance much appreciated. Great view espeacially in evenings with a sunny balcony from mid morning till late evening.The hotel its self had a fresh modern look it has a very large rooftop area with jacuzxi...it also has a pool area downstairs with jacuzzi beautifully lit at night in neon blue.. Rooms were nice too the bathroom was spacious with plenty shelf space shower area could be doing with grout refresh and tidy....beds comfortable ,and room cleaning was on offer 5 days of a week ....the rooms were cleaned to a basic standard but not thoroughly...the holiday was booked as a self catering stay however although there was a mini fridge with small box freezer,microwave, hob .there was no toaster which was dissapointing as I would say that that would have been a very basic ask for a self catering holiday...It was also a issue talked about with fellow guest we spoke to...On complaining to the management she strongly stated that it was the owners rule that couldn't be changed. I asked a reason for it and she said its just the rules ,and she cut the conversation saying adamently.t That's it there was no negotiation .apparently, there are toasters in The Yaisasol, which is fully self catering.....The location is good though hilly. there's are steep steps then a bridge to get down to down to the pathway to the beach and where the Spar shop(lovey bakery in shop) is maybe around a 6-8 minute walk ...its a steep climb back up, gets easier as the holiday goes on ....there is also paths to walk to both the beach snd commercial centre these take longer but are easier than climbing steep stairs....there are also taxis ready available everywhere if your mobility is limited...we never took them but heard they are around 3 euro to the main centre. Must do is take the ferry to Mogan 13 Euro per person return from the marina it a lovely trip sea air is refreshing we seen flying fish the twice, we went by standing at the bottom part of the front of the ferry..Market day is Friday although busy and lots of stalls it jam packed .it's also nice to go on a non marker day where it quieter and you can take in the peacefulness and charm of Mogan.Amadores beach is another lovely walk. At the last part of the marina take the steps up onto the pathway it takes you a coastal walk with great views to Amadores again lots of lovely resturaunts and touristy shops.....Puerto Rico is all about walking and stairs if you dont take a taxi but its intresting and lots to do....would definately return if price is right.
