This place has become my new home away from home; it is truly amazing. During my first visit, things weren't as great since the specialty restaurants were unavailable. The standard rooms were decent, yet they required enhancements, prompting us to opt for an upgrade. I chose to give it another opportunity, and I have no regrets. sampled all the specialty restaurants The staff is exceptional, the beach is pristine, and everything is easily accessible for individuals with mobility challenges. This hotel deserves high praise. I was previously a guest at another hotel within this complex, Playa Dorada, which has recently closed. During my stay, I encountered staff members who had previously worked at the former resort. The food was amazing, with a great variety. While the activities were lacking, I personally don’t seek out activities; I prioritize relaxation and comfort. One downside for me would be the insufficient wait staff service at the buffet. You have to track down someone for drinks and for a clean table Also, you have to come out of the pool to grab another drink. And the food at the beach could use a touch more warmth. ultimately, I look forward to returning for a third time. Thank you, Albania and Dereck at the front desk. Your smiles create a wonderful beginning to a vacation. Ariel, Luis, and Eriberto at the bar; and Jose Ariel Franklin Luis and Celine for enhancing our stay even more. I suggest this to anyone looking to explore the northern region of the Dominican Republic.

Terrible Experience – Avoid This Hotel! We had a really disappointing stay here. First off, the hotel has no shade or nature around – it’s just concrete and not at all relaxing. The food was also gross, with very few options that were actually decent. Front desk can be more pleasant on that tiny lobby .. the tiny pool was constantly overcrowded with people, making it impossible to enjoy any quiet time. To make things worse, there was a kids’ pool right next to it, and the noise was unbearable. The place was filled with screaming kids, and if that wasn’t bad enough, they blared extremely loud music the entire time. It was impossible to relax or even have a conversation without yelling over the noise. Another major issue was the so-called upscale restaurants at the hotel. These were only accessible to members of their vacation program. If you didn’t sign up for the program, you were basically stuck with the mediocre food available in the buffet So much for a “luxury” experience! The worst part was the management. After checking in, we were pulled aside by this guy named Richie , instead of moving us to our room he took us to another area where two guys named DANIEL and JAIRO from the sales department, who tried to hard-sell us into a vacation program that’s clearly aimed at tourists. This took away 2.5 hours of what was supposed to be a relaxing time. This hotel staff was unprofessional and clearly only cared about pushing this program. We were promised a relaxing vacation, but instead, we were hounded during our entire stay. Once you say no to the vacation program, they completely disregard you and treat you with disdain. It’s clear they treat locals badly – they’re not interested in providing good service to anyone who isn’t buying into their vacation program scam. And once you say no, they get rude dismissive and obnoxious. It’s a shame, because the location has potential, but the customer service is a joke. Save yourself the headache and avoid this place at all costs. This was by far one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. It’s clear they only care about upselling, and once you decline their offers, you’re treated poorly. Avoid this hotel at all costs! Instead, I highly recommend heading to Iberostar also Gran Ventana. They treat you with respect, and the staff is genuinely dedicated to making sure you have a relaxing time. Unlike this hotel, international drinks and food are available to all guests, so no one is left out. The grounds are beautiful and natural, and you’ll feel like a valued guest, no matter if you’re a local or a tourist. It’s a shame what this place has turned into, but shame on them for treating guests this way.

We stayed in this resort for 2 weeks. The staff and service was amazing. Especially Chemo that is responsible for the oak restaurant and the good wines that are not included in your all-inclusive deals did an outstanding job to make us feel at home and serve us the best wines in his Portofolio and offer us all the dishes served from the restaurants in the resort! This person knows what is guest services!! The rest of the staff is also super friendly and helpful. The food varies every day. We know as we stayed for 2 weeks in a swim-out room! Highly recommend as you have your private pool during busy weekend days.. We really got a vip treatment the whole stay. One tip don't fall for the sales talkes of the memberships because they make you feel uncomfortable if you don't go for it.. Tours service on the property as a recommend as we had an amazing experience via Leo that booked us 2 tours(sunset horse riding and waterfalls and Monkeyland combo). A advise for the resort is to be able to change your towels as well at the towel service around the pool for the guests with a swim out room. We loved our stay at Emotions Hotelpa Puerto Plata !!
