Really enjoyed my first stay. Staff were very pleasent.
Breakfast was pleantiful and well presented.
You must have your own transport as there were no buses.
There's too much of a long walk into Alnwick by the A1 mortorway. That's not very pleasent or safe.
The only issue I had was with the awlful television (It certainly needs updating) in the Cart Shed accommodation. The hand controller was useless.

A lovely, warm welcome by the hosts. Beautiful gardens, excellent breakfast, very quirky, and a lovely history file in the rooms. Superb, competitive value. A credit to the owners who have been there for 40 years I think from memory. Very close to A1, Alnwick, and the beautiful heritage coastline of Northumberland. Highly recommended.

Quirky B&B - Highly Recommended!
I spent two nights here whilst visiting Northumberland with friends. This is certainly a 'quirky' B&B, and one I would definitely return too in the future.
The welcome was very warm and my single room was full of charm, well appointed and spotlessly clean. Despite being right by the A1 I was not disturbed by any traffic noise, even with the window open.
Breakfast was cooked to order, and delicious, and the homemade bread and jams were excellent. It was nice to sit around one of the three large tables with other guests too, a very friendly way to start the day.
I would highly recommend Alnwick Lodge to anyone looking for accommodation in the area.

We stayed in West Granary which was in the main house above the lounge. It was cosy and quirky with a bath and no shower.
No EV charger on site but hogh speed chargers just down the A1.

Quirky place
Quirky place very different to other B&B,but enjoyable, some evening noise from the guests above us, talking and squeaky floor boards.

Our room was very quirky, so good fun, our granddaughter enjoyed it. However we found the bathroom too small & hot for us, as the fan did not seem to work. We did enjoy our stay though, the hosts were lovely.
