Hotel Belvedere

"We spent two nights at Belvedere and the hotel made a good impression. On the plus side, the breakfasts were plentiful and tasty, served in an elegant restaurant. The rooms were quite large and tastefully furnished. Equipped with a TV, fridge, telephone and central heating. Beautiful views of the mountains from the rooms and from the viewing terraces on the top floor. The distance to the city centre is short, from the hotel to the markets and the train station about 10 minutes on foot. The problem starts when you have to return. Hotel Belvedere is located on a hill, so the walk will be quite long and tiring. In addition, the location on the edge of the forest means that we can meet a bear, especially after dark. So it is best to return to the hotel by taxi, it will be quick and safe :-) On the plus side, the staff is also helpful and nice."

Elexus Boutique

"We booked the Elexus Hotel from Germany, which, according to the pictures, was a modern luxury hotel with a spa in the mountains. Upon arrival, we were given a room in the Elexus Boutique Hotel, a very old building across the street from the Elexus Hotel. There was no elevator, the bathroom was very small, and we couldn't use the spa because a private party was taking place in the Elexus Hotel. Apparently, we weren't guests of the Elexus Hotel, even though we had checked in there. Therefore, we were refused dinner and drinks on the beautiful terrace. The staff were rude and impolite, and we were rudely asked to leave the restaurant. People were gambling at the tables in the restaurant, and there was incredibly loud party music at night. This is not what we expected from a stay in the mountains. We wanted to have breakfast at 8:00 a.m. Everything in the old building was locked, so we asked again at the luxury hotel across the street, and the receptionist asked us what time it was... However, we then received a delicious breakfast buffet in the old building, but the staff were very rude."

Hotel Carmen

"The staff from reception and from the restaurant are very nice. The breakfast is nice but more variations will be appreciated. The room that we had was nice but could be better. The service was good and also housekeeping. The pool is nice but was with too much chlorine. The bowling is very nice, but the price is very strange since tou have to pay on time spent on the track with a tarif of 10 euros per 30 min. As always, especially for this type of resorts, parking is an issue. The hotel has a parking, but no spots available."

Hotel Rozmarin

"We stayed 2 nights in this hotel, as part of an organised tour group. Room design is a dated, and veneers are starting to peel a bit. The idea that guests might need to connect more than one electrical device hasn't occurred to the owners, apparently. Beds are very comfortable. Shower is somewhat cramped but very clean. Rooms are equipped with a TV, safe, hairdryer and mini fridge. Rooms on the first floor facing the rear of the building have airconditioning. Those at the front do not. That's made up for by wonderful balcony (assuming that there are no smokers in the adjacent rooms). We slept with the balcony doors open. Breakfast is served in the large (and very quirky) dining hall. There's quite a wide range of produce available. We had evening meals served for the group, which were also very good. The hotel is located on the main road into Predeal, and it's an easy walk into the town. For all the minor gripes I've listed here, Rozmarin is a lovely place to stay, and has truly breathtaking views."
