To my taste, this is the best hotel on the island. In any case, I haven't seen a better one yet. But the hotel is unlucky with the beach, there is no beach. And unlucky with the internet. The internet distribution you with a new authorisation every half an hour. Everything else is great.

I spent two nights at Padadita Beach Hotel, the room was clean and the bathroom as well, although it looked quite old . The staff was friendly and polite.
I had breakfast and dinner there...it was fine. I think the highlight of my stay at the hotel was the view from my balcony, the sunset was beautiful.

This was a very nice Hotel at Waingapu, looks new and well maintain. The Hotel near the beach but not white sandy beach. Not to far from the center of the city. There are no elevator, so would be good if you can get the room in the 1st or 2nd floor. The room clean and nice, complete with standard amenity and also TV but not much Chanel option. The resto in the ground floor with open space concept, breakfast had several option local food, egg and standard bread. The pool near to the resto and near to the beach.

Terrible Hotel. We booked a suite, upon arrival we discovered upon first glance the balcony door was hanging loose and broken. We asked to change to another regular room. Day 2, around 6.45 am there was loud blast of music from next door room no. 110. Turns out the hotel allowed this room to be a âconferenceâ room and they were testing SOUND SYSTEM at 6.45 am. Stay away from this Hotel, if you must, make sure do not stay on the 1st floor where the conference room 110 is located.

This is one of the better hotels and the area, room are air conditioned and hot water is available. There is no fridge in the room which would have been nice. Staff were helpful and spoke good English. There is a large pool in the garden but the sea is not accessible as the tide and rocks make it difficult to access the sea. A big plus point is the free bus service to and from the airport. No need to juggle with taxi drivers on arrival. The rooms are cleaned although somewhat dated but it how most of the places are in these area. If you are coming to Sumba for creature comfort then this is not the place you want to be at

Basic hotel. The room is quite spacious. There are no lifts on the island, so there is no lift in the hotel. There are 3 stories. if you cannot climb, best to confirm that you can get 1st floor before you book. The toilet/shower is not very clean, there is grime in between the tiles. The sink tiles have fallen off. The taps look like they havent been scrubbed before. Housekeeping did not sweep the floor for the entire stay. Lots of mozzies, same for everywhere in Sumba. There is no hairdryer. There is no safe. My friends stayed in 2 other hotels, also no safe. May not not common in Sumba. Things kept in locked luggage was safe. Often I have to go to lobby to ask for towels and toilet paper. Breakfast included is local food. Hotel is very close to airport, about 15mins ride, free transport to/fro. Air crew also stay in this hotel. There is no beach. Its a rocky bed and near by mangrove. The hotel is cheaper. It is off the main road, so not so dumpy ride. If you prefer a nicer hotel and willing to pay more, Kambaniru Beach Hotel and Resort (which my friend stayed in) is near by , much more new and modern and rooms better maintained. Kamaniru also does not have a beach.

I had read mixed recent reviews about the hotel. Our stay was booked as part of a tour package. So we couldnât change. But for 1-2 nights, as long as you know what youâre getting, itâs bearable. In general, the hotel is very much in need of renovations and appears quite run down. This is maybe a 2 star hotel, at best. On the up side the air con worked and we had hot water. But for the most part the room we were given, 2nd floor and near the stairs, was in bad shape. The wardrobe doors, the fridge, and the safe were all removed. The walls have marks on them and one night stand had the top peeling away. The linens and towels were clean and thankfully didnât smell but they looked like theyâve been in circulation for a long time. The bathroom was not dirty, dirty but also not super clean; the sink leaked underneath and the shower head hadnât been cleaned in a very long time. We also came during a holiday period and discovered the walls are quite thin. We could hear loud noise from above and from the hallway / lobby area. If youâre sensitive to noise you may want to ask for a room further from the stairs. As someone else said, you donât stay here for a luxe experience. There seems to be some new resorts in the area that will give you that.

The Padadita is a great hotel. There is no beach but the infinity pool is amazing and the whole pool area is a perfect place to relax. It's well designed to accomodate kids and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The WiFi, AC and hot water work great too! The food is tasty and the portions are both reasonably priced and large! We loved it and I was surprised to find such a nice and reasonably priced hotel on Sumba. It's a perfect place to take day trips around East Sumba from.

Very large superior room with a very large terrace Beautiful swimming pool Avoid the weekend when the locals come to spend the day with their children at the swimming pool (goodbye calm) Beautiful buffet breakfast Correct cuisine Lack of authenticity but sometimes the side impersonal is good

You won't be blown away when you enter the relatively large hotel. Everything seems to be subordinate to its purpose. The rooms were clean and the suite was very large with a lovely balcony. The plumbers they had at the time must not have known what they were doing. Everything was wobbly and unstable. As long as it doesn't fall down, nothing will be fixed.
