Interestingly, as soon as you enter the entrance to the hotel (about 20 steps from main Dali ancient city's pedestrian street), it is serenely quiet and no noise from the chaotic tourist crowd can be heard at all. How blissful! Don't let the simple, understated entrance throw you off. What I like about this hotel is as soon as I made the booking, the hotel contacted me and added me via Wechat. Checking with me on my arrival date and timing, and offer to pick up from the main road as the hotel is located on the pedestrian street so no car is allowed. It's a welcoming touch which I appreciated. I specifically booked the room that oversees the 'Wu Hua Tower' from my balcony. It's so close, loved it! Beautiful morning and night views of the tower. The hotel has just recently opened earlier in 2024; the room interior is modern and clean. Comfortable room size, bedding and amenities. It also has one of those multi-button toilet seat (just like the ones in Korea/Japan). One minor detail if can be improved is to add hooks or railings to hang the towels. The helpful team of staff, Pei helped me with the luggage using the trolley upon arrival, and Ah Hua who helped me to arrange a driver for the day and recommended places to check out. There was even grilled tofu and tea by the charcoal fire each night (it's freezing at night in Dec) whenever Ah Hua can manage (thank you for the supper and company, Ah Hua!). Met the easy-going owners too, husband and wife. No breakfast at the hotel but you will be spoilt for choices with so many eateries within walking distance. If you're up for it, there is a local morning market just outside of the North Gate, about 10mins walk. Very local with plenty of authentic breakfast options. Love the morning hustle! Plenty of photo opportunities. If you enjoy shopping, it's a 'disaster' as this hotel is located right in the middle of it! Shop till you drop. It is also close to plenty live music bars. I must say, this is one of those hotels that I will bookmark to stay again whenever I return to windy Dali.

The staff was super friendly. We have 2 large luggages and he was willing to carry both on the way walking to the hotel. The room is very clean and has a minimal design. Super chill. The view is perfect, we could clearly see the mountains and ancient buildings. At night, the place is very quiet even though there is a market outside, super nice place. I really love this hotel and would love to come back

Troublesome to stay within the ancient town with luggage but overall an ok stay. No thrills. Clean and simple.

This B&B appear on the outside to be new, (newly done or newly renovated) overall good but few tips to be improved : 1) for the room I stayed in to be added a standing light or additional ceiling lights as it's very dark. 2) the shower water doesn't seem to flow out and caused some mini flooding in the bathroom as water reached to the facial wash basin, nearing to the door. Suggest to add additional glass door to avoid such matter as I had to wash my hair in the sink to avoid flooding. 3) cleaning was superficially done but the tea cups were dusty, the hair in the bathroom were not removed 4) service were helpful but it still can be improved

The small courtyard is very comfortable to live in. It is right on the busy pedestrian street. I came back to stay for the second time. The front desk staff is very enthusiastic. The room is relatively clean. I will come back next time.

The hotel is in the center of the ancient city. I thought it would be noisy, but it was very quiet when I arrived at the hotel. It is really quiet in the bustling city. The courtyard is beautiful. It is a typical Dali Bai residence, very retro. The room is clean and tidy. The housekeeper service is very good. It is available at any time when needed. I am very satisfied. I will stay here next time.

The location is quite easy to find. The guy at the homestay will come out to help with the luggage and move the room. There is no need to worry about dragging the suitcase on the cobblestone road. The balcony can see Wuhua Tower and Cangshan Mountain, which is really beautiful.

A kind of hotel with an alarm clock and quietness that is hard to find in the ancient city. It is very humane and comfortable to live in. Wuhua Building is right outside the door. Especially although the hotel is in the ancient city area, the pick-up service is very good.

The hotel service is really great! We will contact in advance to inform the hotel of its specific location, and we will send someone to pick up at Dali Station. When we got off the bus, the little brother helped with the luggage. After arriving, the winter melon tea made by the homestay was very delicious and had the aroma of glutinous rice. My mother liked it very much. The owner saw that the elderly liked it and gave two cups. It was so thoughtful. The hotel environment is also very good. The garden style is very design-oriented. You can see that the design is attentive. The Chinese garden is combined with modern art. The geographical location is also very convenient. In the ancient city, you can go shopping directly in the ancient city. It is convenient to enter and exit the ancient city. The homestay was newly opened this year, so it is very new and the hygiene is very good. It is very suitable for taking family trips or escaping from the class. The cost performance is very high, beyond expectations, and a very pleasant stay experience. It is worth coming again. The room is clean. Room 101 is spacious and suitable for a family of three. The mountain view room is very suitable for couples. The courtyard style is very ancient. The yard is very clean and the staff is very considerate.
