Residence Inn Poughkeepsie

After booking our room 10 months in advance for Marist family weekend, we arrived on Friday night. Check in was efficient, but when we got to our room we instantly noticed a musty smell and LOUD noise. There was a large, portable AC unit with a venting hose through the window in the sitting area of the room. We tried to call down to the front desk, but the phone was disconnected. My husband went down and politely asked to change rooms. He was told by the receptionist that there were no other rooms available and no other solution was offered. Not having any other options in the area, we stayed. Over the course of the two nights we barely slept. The unit was incredibly loud and, when turned off for quiet, the room had no air circulation. Furthermore, the ceiling in the bathroom was cracked with a piece falling due to water damage from the room above. A room in this condition should not be sold until repairs are made. We are loyal Marriott customers and this is unacceptable. We will not be back and recommend that you choose a different option in the Poughkeepsie area.

We booked a room months ago for family weekend at Marist. Arrived tonight to our room with a portable AC unit in the living space. Loud is an understatement! We politely asked to be moved and were told there were no other rooms. Unacceptable for Mariott. Stay elsewhere - there are a lot of other options in the area!

We all know Residence Inn's. We know they have kitchenettes and a breakfast in the morning. What made this experience different was the team that provides services. I must say Daisy Tobar is a very knowledgeable and happy person in charge of the front desk. Her enthusiasm permeates through her whole team. Yes it is your basic breakfast, but the difference is easy to spot. Williams takes pride in providing hot, fresh food and beverages. He hustles around with a smile to make your experience special. The room was clean and well stocked. Thank you to whole team and the next time I go to a WestPoint game, I hope to see you again.

will stay there again. stayed for 6 nights on business. great breakfast, great cleaning staff on mon and wed nights (only days available but that was all that was needed). clean room. quiet room. nice staff. nice location at stairwell close to the side door entry. good restaurant to walk to and shopping nearby. great rate compared to other local hotels. will stay again.

Book it! This hotel is on the top of our list from now on. This was our first stay here and we are so glad we gave this hotel a try. The breakfast has something for everyone! (Gluten free and dairy free items ) All of the staff were very helpful and rooms were clean.

Great family stay We rented the 2 bedrooms with 2 full baths. It was very spacious for our needs. The complimentary breakfast was very good and convenient. Basketball court, putting course and indoor pool and jacuzzi were great amenities. Several food and dessert options were within walking distance. Bed and pillows were a bit soft. Wonderful stay overall!
