"Very cost effective stay in Positano. You can walk following the car route to escape the uncountable stairs. Overall a good stay for me to explore Positano."

Albergo Miramare Positano

Albergo Miramare Positano

📍 Via Trara Genoino, 27, Positano
★★★★ 9.7 (102 reviews)

"The hotel is in a good location, the breakfast room is beautiful, the breakfast is rich, and the service is also very good. The only regret is that the price is a bit high. The last picture is shown on the Ctrip page. I stayed for three nights, but it is not actually provided. I hope Ctrip will not mislead me. It is recommended to stay for two nights. Positano is very small, and two nights is enough. The overall price of this place is very high. The room layout should be different for each room type and when booking. The facilities are slightly average. It is an old-fashioned building. I understand."

Hotel Vittoria

Hotel Vittoria

📍 Via Fornillo, 19, Positano
★★★ 9.0 (64 reviews)

"Our stay at Hotel Vittoria was a lovely experience. The room was spacious, clean, and designed in a beautiful Greek-inspired style. Despite not having air conditioning, the room remained comfortably cool thanks to its location near the sea. One of the highlights was the balcony with a stunning view—my partner and I enjoyed a peaceful evening watching the sunset from there. A big concern for us in Positano was managing our two bulky luggages, but the staff, especially Christina and Roberta, were incredibly helpful and responsive. They kindly arranged for porters to assist with our luggage during both check-in and check-out, which made a huge difference. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of variety. We especially enjoyed their homemade drinks like the chocolate and americano. While the room didn’t have a kettle, the staff gladly provided us with hot water at night whenever needed. Overall, a relaxing and memorable stay with excellent service!"

"We were allowed early check-in at 10am, whereby I am really thankful for. Breakfast serves from 8am to 9:30am. Breakfast is simple with freshly baked cornetto/croissant, yoghurt, cakes, cereal, hot coffee, cuppacino, orange juice, etc. There is also a self-service hot-coco dispenser machine. There is about 100 steps to take in order to reach the property from the service road."

Palazzo Marzoli Resort, Positano

Palazzo Marzoli Resort, Positano

📍 Via Guglielmo Marconi 334, Positano
★★★★ 7.4 (54 reviews)

"The view from the hotel balcony was unbeatable, which was what attracted me to the hotel. However, other aspects were quite disappointing. The room facilities were outdated, and the shower was so old I couldn't even wash my hair. Breakfast was served by room service, the selection was meager and the food was unappetizing; fruit required an extra charge. The location required taking a bus to reach the town center. The landlord initially quoted an outrageous 50 euros for parking, but we ended up finding a designated blue line parking spot ourselves. Having traveled to Sorrento, compared to other hotels of the same star rating, the hotel price was definitely inflated; it would only be worth considering if it were at least 50% off."

"It's very close to the Positano pier, just a few steps up a hill, and it's very clean. However, apart from the coffee, everything else for breakfast is cold, and the toast can't be heated."

"Although the mountain road was tough to climb, the scenery was absolutely stunning. All the popular photo spots were within walking distance, and there's a bus stop right outside the hotel. However, getting on a bus isn't always guaranteed. Some buses accept cash, while others don't. I highly recommend this hotel; it's a bit pricey, but beautiful. The breakfast was also excellent."

Il Barilotto Hotels in Positano

Il Barilotto

"My wife and I recently stayed at Al Barilotto Del Nonno Hotel just outside of Positano. It was a great experience. It is a small, family-run boutique hotel with spacious rooms, comfortable beds, and beautiful views from large private balconies. But what really sets it apart was the wonderful personal service we received from people like Giovanni (1 of 5 family members), who has served at the hotel for over 50 years. He provided expert guidance and help regarding bus and ferry schedules, nearby restaurants, and best routes/use of time. Beyond that, he personally drove us to a nearby restaurant, and to Positano to make sure that we caught a boat on time. BTW, the breakfasts were delicious (the fresh-squeezed pear juice and winter melons were to die for), and the setting was great -- a beautiful 2nd floor garden-like patio overlooking the bay below. But again, it was Giovanni who made our stay so memorable. His wisdom, sense-of-humor, and pride in what he and his family have worked so hard to achieve, came through in several conversations on the breakfast patio and in the unique and beautiful lobby. If we return to Positano, we will definitely stay at "At Grandfather's Barrel" Hotel again, and renew our friendship with Giovanni! "

"We stayed 3 nights in September but since we had to change dates, we had to move to a standard room after 2 nights. I would strongly recommend NOT to book a standard room. It’s very noisy with no view. The views from our third level suite were amazing and it was quiet. Rooms are a bit outdated. No complimentary water which is a small thing but very surprising. The staff is amazing. Everyone we dealt with aimed to please. The breakfast was fantastic and they provided lots of gluten free options and went above and beyond to bring me a gluten free croissant after the first day!"

"Did we die and go to Heaven fro our 5 night stay ?? Omg everything we thought Positano and The Amalfi coast would be , was surpassed. Positano is all abut the views , the higher up you go the better the views. Pascal and I wanted a gorgeous place to stay , with those famous views, someplace sophisticated, clean , modern, comfortable, yet with charm and warmth and….. good reviews. ( truth be told I am a fashion designer and Pascal is a Florsit and we lived in New York for 30 years .. we wanted something really “Nice” ) We hit the jackpot as we ascended in to the heavens , yes Montepertuso where five Positano is located is almost in heaven, and its a schlep / climb to get up there, or bus ride, But so worth it. As our ferry approached Positano , Elvira , who speaks fluent english, was already in touch via WhatsAp, excited to meet us , with directions on how to get to Five Positano, we simplified life and took a taxi and Elvira was waiting for us when we arrived and insisted on helping with our bags for the last few steps , ( Positano is all about steps ) Five is jaw droppingly gorgeous , beautifully and tastefully decorated with epic views from their terraces , we had tears in our eyes before we even made it up to our spectacular room. We chose “ Sinensis” the room with a terrace and jacuzzi. Looking down over Positano , and out across the Mediterranean. The view was like looking at a living post card , awe inspiring . The room is magnificent, the bathroom gorgeous and the views from our balcony on one side and large Terrace out front …AMAZING We kept pinching ourselves that the Almafi coast dream had finally come true. Bigger and Better than we could have imagined. The delicious Breakfast in the mornings is chosen the night before from a large menu and lovingly prepared by Debora in the kitchen. There were two host Elvira and Sarah , both of whom are extraordinary warm gracious hosts. Every question patiently answered, with loads of recommendations , and they were at our beck and call on WhastAp should we need help at anytime during the day. The incredible “Il Retrovo” restaurant is only a short 5-6 minute walk and the legendary Trattoria “La Tagliata” is also nearby, even though their free shuttle picked us up … we ate at both and they are incredible. Each morning we walked the 1000 -1500 steps down to the center of Positano, and that walk was magical , winding down the cliff side, through trees, past little terraced farms , the air perfumed with Jasmine and lemon blossoms , and different , breathtaking views revealed as we descended … we always took the local bus back up in the evenings. We love love loved Five Positano and we truly hope to return there again, I hope you have the same magical experience we had."

Villa Magia Hotels in Positano

"The breathtaking sea view—this hotel is the true gem of Positano! From the scenery and hotel design to the established, professional yet warm service (they even prepared an incredibly delicious Spritz with champagne for us upon arrival! Looking at the magnificent sea view, I was so grateful I chose this place), and the lavish à la carte breakfast reminiscent of European royalty (seeing it in person is absolutely stunning, especially compared to the perfunctory service of other five-star European hotels), everything makes you feel it's excellent value for money (initially I was a little worried about the price, but even my most frugal and picky parents kept praising it and started looking forward to returning for another family trip). However, be aware that this is an island made up of steps. Even as a self-proclaimed fitness enthusiast, I was exhausted and questioned my existence several times while climbing the stairs (luckily, I booked a luggage porter through the hotel; you can see them in green uniforms as soon as you disembark at the pier, holding your name tag and waiting for you—don't skimp on this!). Also, there are many overpriced restaurants on the island (such as a sunset restaurant with high Google ratings that costs over 100 euros per person). It's better to eat at the hotel's LUNA restaurant. I regret going to eat elsewhere; the sunset and night views from this hotel are equally stunning, so there's absolutely no need to suffer elsewhere."

"The location is highly recommended for travelers who want to play at the sea. It's right in front of the sea, so you can just walk back and forth. Breakfast doesn’t have a lot of variety, but salads are delicious and there are many types of bread! There is lemon yogurt here and it tastes like yogurt for the first time. I tried it and it was very delicious. You must try it! I stayed in a small suite, but it was old. The cleanliness is really good. It’s really clean! I don't know if the staff are friendly ^^;;; Only the desk seems a bit friendly."

Hotel Vittoria ★★★
"We had a pleasant stay at the hotel. The views of Positano are absolutely stunning, and the breakfast area overlooking the sea is a wonderful way to start the day. The front desk team was responsive and helpful throughout our stay. For improvement, the bed felt slightly soft and uneven, and the bathroom only provides an all-in-one body and hair wash. As first-time visitors, we also found it a little difficult to locate the hotel, as the walking route suggested by Google Maps can be quite confusing. It would be helpful if the hotel could proactively provide clear arrival instructions, especially since my message through the booking app did not receive a reply, in actual, there are few ways to reach the hotel."

Palazzo Marzoli Resort, Positano ★★★★
"The room is in a high position in positano, and the traffic is very inconvenient. I almost walked up and down. I took a bus once, but it was very unpunctual and there was no stop sign. Travelers took their local bus and didn't know which station they arrived at. I am afraid that the information provided by the Tourism Bureau to foreign tourists is not very clear. Let’s get a room again. The hotel may be the local people’s own house. Famous people gave me a star rating. It was a mother-in-law who gave me a room. I looked for it for a long time. Seeing that she was old, I didn’t say anything. I just climbed up the mountain and was sweating! Then they kept asking three times for a credit card and I repeated three times I paid cash 💰! In the end they charged me a deposit of 100 euros and it was handwritten. When I checked into the hotel room, I found that the air conditioner in the room was not working well, and there was no cold air. They also had problems with the electricity. They also called me and told me that it was their government's problem. I can forget it. After breakfast, they sent them to the room and knocked on the door ✊ very loudly, and did not report that they were hotel employees or that they knocked on the wrong room next door. This troubles me living alone! And knocked several times an hour! I have no complaints either! There are also room terraces that are only separated by a few potted plants, which is very soundproof. This price and this level of location are really not suitable👎 I didn’t even complain when I checked out because of the two old ones! very not recommended"

"First of all, I would like to express my gratitude to all the staff who provided us with excellent service. We were truly happy during our three-day honeymoon stay here. If you are visiting Positano for the first time, I highly recommend this place. In particular, the reception service is top-notch. In this unfamiliar tourist destination, they provided us with information on verified restaurants and transportation in advance, and even offered reservation services. Furthermore, the cleanliness of the room is impeccable. From the interior of the room to the balcony and bathroom, everything was spotlessly clean—clean enough to walk around barefoot. Lastly, the bar staff were also very friendly and cheerful. Water, ice, coffee, and tea were provided freely, and we even received the service of having our personal food stored in the cool bar refrigerator. Pasitiia is a romantic place that is friendly, clean, and offers a perfect view."
