We came to Portrush on a whim based on our friends review of Irish coastal towns. Staying at the Marcus was a great decision, not only because of the pretty rooms and stylish set-up of the hotel, but also because the staff was very fun and patient with us. Cara and Reece gave us a good laugh at the bar and some basic lessons on how to deal with weaver fish.

We recently visited The Marcus for a meal with friends. This was our first time since the building was refurbished and the place looks great. They have done a really great job with the decor and the place was buzzing and had a lovely atmosphere to walk into. We ate in Nemesis restaurant where we were really pleased to have a menu which wasn’t overwhelming in size, and actually offered something different from what we’ve been looking at on menus for years. The wine list was also great and offered some unusual choices. Our server, Cara, was first class. She knew the menu, was so friendly and attentive and gave us good advice. This really was one of the best eating experiences I’ve had in a long time- every aspect of the place was first class. Keep up the good work!

I had a fantastic experience at The Marcus! We went for dinner & the food was incredibly fresh and full of flavor—every dish was thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. The cocktails were equally impressive—creative, well-balanced, and absolutely delicious. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made the entire visit even more enjoyable. Highly recommend for a great dining experience!

Lovely meal in a superb setting. Well Looked after by Cara. We will definitely be back! We had a lovely table. Service excellent and a perfect Asian fusion main. Cara even reserved a table I. The bar so that we could continue to enjoy cocktails.

I would be interested to see the answer given to my question as it concerns not just the Marcus but also other like minded establishments in the portrush area . My family went into the Marcus recently with the view to take drinks and light snacks, there were several seats available so they sat , only to be told by a member of staff that those seats were for residents. So my question is who will use this establishment in the winter season , because it won’t be day trippers and with that policy it won’t be the locals either, I eagerly await your reply
