Chic & Basic Gravity

Our family reserved 3 rooms and arrived on a very early flight . Jose was kind enough to get 1 of our rooms ready within an hour so we could at least wash up, rest for a bit, and refresh before going out for the day. He continued to take care of us throughout our stay with anything we needed, while being extremely kind and personal. He is an excellent representative of the quality and care the hotel offers. We also liked the ambiance of the hotel. It was nicely lit and decorated in a fun, eclectic, and relaxing fashion. Our room rate included the breakfast which was an amazing spread with much variety, highly recommend. Location was central, easy walking distance everywhere. Small disappointment was lack of gym. I know we walk around alot but it would’ve nice to have the option as my husband and son like to exercise quite a bit. In addition, the TV lounge room which can be nice for teenagers/kids to use while waiting for our rooms to be ready was rather plain in terms of interior design, just gray concrete walls, as opposed to the interesting and colorful designs of the rest of the hotel. This is just an observation, I would definitely recommend this hotel and would come back again.

Very good service

We had a lovely time in Chic & Basic Gravity It is central in the Clerigos region close to the Lello Bookshop and plenty of good restaurants. While there was building works close by our room was very sound proof and quiet All staff were friendly and professional especially Nuno and Jose on reception We can highly recommend this hotel and if we ever return to Porto this is the hotel we will use.

Stayed here recently with friends. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Very clean and modern rooms and a fantastic breakfast. The hotel Was a short walk to everything. Looming forward to returning.
