"A bit far, but the facilities are good and suitable for family vacation"
Mantra Nelson Bay ★★★★
"Really nice service and very good location"
Ingenia Holidays Middle Rock ★★★★
"The campsite is clean and well-equipped. You can park right next to the camp/room you are staying in. Great vibe and good value. Will stay again!"
Bannisters Port Stephens ★★★★
"This was a pleasant unexpected visit. We originally booked Bannisters for its location and proximity to many dining options which it didn’t disappoint.what we didn’t expect was the ambience and resort vibe and we ended up spending most of our sta lazing by the pool Listening to really cool music and enjoying great food. A truly enjoyable stay. If you need a subbed in the shade though get in early they go quickly."
Anchorage Port Stephens ★★★★
"It was really pleasant stay. We went for a couple getaway and it was the perfect setting."
Oaks Port Stephens Pacific Blue Resort ★★★★
"It’s a fantastic place to stay as a couple or a family. Kids would love this place. It’s a place just to relax and you won’t need to bother to roaming around anything. It’s next to Town centre all food/ grocery options are minutes drive away. Just need to do pest control service as have seen plenty of cockroaches especially next to the bar."
Ingenia Holidays One Mile Beach ★★★
"Dryer not working so had to hang laundry on chairs and turned on ac. Windows have no lock other than these pretty good experiences."
Peninsula Nelson Bay Motel and Serviced Apartments ★★★★
"This was the most comfortable and cleanest hotel I stayed in during this trip. The room was a spacious duplex with two floors, and the facilities were complete. The bathroom was large and clean, and the sheets were clean. It was close to the shopping center and food street, and there was plenty of parking. I highly recommend this hotel."
Marina Resort ★★★★
"Excellent! Great location, facilities and staff. Hotel and rooms were newly refurbished and to the highest standards. Pool is beautiful as were the views from the room. Onsite van serving food and coffee was of excellent qualit and so convenient. Would highly reccomend and would stay here again without a doubt. Thank you for a lovely birthday stay"

Seaside Holiday Resort
"Slight hiccup when we first arrived but quickly sorted. Staff are friendly and grounds are well looked after. Unit is clean and has all the things you need when away from home. Prime location with beach, cafe and lifesaving club across the road. We have been coming to this accommodation for 13 years now and wouldn’t go anywhere else. We’ll be back again next year "
Corlette Retreat
Koala Shores Holiday Park
"Swimming pool was full of duck litter daily, unable to use and a health risk. No internet, wifi or phone coverage in our cabin, daily raised with reception but could not rectify it. Daily 8 am blower clean on drive ways made our cabin and us very messy. Too loud, too long. Activity room has no activity for kids."
Port Stephens Motel
"Nice little cozy place, If you are a budget traveller look no further. It’s just 5 minutes walk away from Nelson bay wharf. Typical laid back motel with basic facilities."
Ingenia Holidays Soldiers Point
"The park itself has lots to offer children and that is what attracted us to go there but the cabin was horrible. We paid $3000 to stay 4 nights over the Easter break to stay in the worst cabin ever. That's $750 a night! We feel so ripped off. We stayed in a 3 bedroom cabin which had the smallest bathroom ever, most ensuites are larger then the one we got and it had no bath for the kids. The ensuites for the campers is TWICE the size of the bathroom we got... for 6 people! The main area had A/C right under the dining table and no fans and even though it was a cool Autumn, the cabin was a hot box. The A/C didn't travel down to the bedrooms which were only fitted with small fans on the walls, not ceiling fans and those rooms got HOT at night, there was no air flow even with windows open 24/7. The Internet didn't work well in the cabin and wasn't compatible to work on the TV so we couldn't connect Netflix or any other TV apps. We were supplied 2 rolls of toilet paper, no sugar and 5 glasses for 6 people. Horrible metal chairs for the dining table. Our porch seemed to be the only one without a BBQ which would have come in handy as the oven was horrible. it took 2hrs to cook anything on it, whether it be the stove or oven as it seemed to keep shutting off. It looks like most of the cabins have been updated but we were unlucky enough to get one of the old, run down ones that hasn't been, which is fine, but charge accordingly. the saying ' you get what you paid for' well... we paid a lot and didn't get much! ---Avoid the Caranday Cabin---"
Oaks Nelson Bay Lure Suites
"Really good"
The Retreat Port Stephens
"The accomodation was old and dirty. The outdoor area was filthy. Beds uncomfortable and pillows had mould on them and out of date. The kitchen utensils dirty this was the worst stay our family has had. We go away to various places in nsw and qld around 6 times a year. We will definitely never book here again. On the plus side Anna Bay and Nelson Bay have great beaches and really good places to eat. Do yourself a favour and book accommodation elsewhere."
Wanderers Retreat
"The place is good though finding it was a bit confusing. Good for relaxing, very quiet. Aircon and ceiling fan is available. A walking distance to One mile beach."
Lemon Tree Passage Motel
"Check-in and check-out are very convenient (self-check-in and check-out are available), the room is surprisingly clean, and the car can be parked at the door, which is very suitable for self-driving partners. Super easy check-in and out (self check-in and check-out available). Very clean room. Easy parking."
Mercure Newcastle Airport
"The wait staff at dinner were pleasant, but not too keen to offer desserts or coffee after the meal."
Seabreeze Hotel
"I liked the proximity of the hotel to the area. Right next to the hotel pub food - great pizzas. Right next to the merina. And overall was an okay experience. Room size was okay."
Amore at the Beach
"No stove, dish washing machine or any usable power points. No laundry facilities .Power board in kitchen tripped if anything else was plugged in as well as the ancient unsafe solid twin solid hot plates which took at least 15 minutes to boil water in order to poach eggs. The TV worked after 2 phone calls to owner. No towel rail in bathroom except for the remains of a previous one. Shower over a good but deep spa bath with no hand rail-quite hazardous for an 87 year old. Hazardous few steps and rough concrete path an then broken tiles to front porch. The owner couldn’t guarantee that the BBQ was operating. The property screamed lack of maintenance with broken louvred on front door blind, weeds between pavers on patio and gritty floor in bedroom at least We left after the first of three nights"

"Good, good, good, good"
