Stayed at the Port Macquarie Motel for two days from Boxing Day evening. Personally I thought it was expensive for what it was, but being pak time, this was the only family room available in town. Motel is one of the original ones in town and is very aged. Having said that it was very clean, seemed to be in good repair and looked to be recently painted and the exterior had been updated with new seating and floor coverings around the walkways. Staff were very polite and engaging and the communication from the Motel prior to arrival was excellent. Its far from a flash place but had everything you need and was not trying to be something it isn't. Be aware that the car park is a bit tight when it's fully booked out.

My wife and myself have stayed in this waterfront motel a few times now and we have always been greeted by the very friendly managers Ian and Donna who really go out of their to ensure that we have a very pleasant stay in their motel. The rooms are spotless at all times and the attention to detail is to say the least exceptional. The motel is situated within a 'golden circle' of restaurants in the city with only minutes of walking to reach at least 8 of them, both take away and sit down. Parking is on site and the motel has a lift to the three floors, Well done Ian and Donna, we will be back in2023 again. ---- FROM MACCA 708- trip adviser contributor

I don't like to give a negative review but I've never experienced a situation like this! Booked this hotel in the evening for the next day but by mistake it was afterwards that same evening. Immediately after booking I found out and sent a request via *********** for a change of date. This was rejected and I asked via chat if we could change this to which I received a very short answer with declined! Also called but no answer. Drove by the next day and kindly asked if something could be arranged but her answers were short and rude! There was nothing to arrange and we were not allowed to discuss, they even threatened to call the police and on departure we also got a middle finger from the best lady. Had to pay the full amount while the motel canceled our room later that night. We were told by another motel owner that she also cannot get staff because of her behavior! I would say there are plenty of other motels in this lovely city where the owner is customer friendly!!

Efficient Reception Staff. Pleasant property in good location. Room spotless and comfortable. Bedding luxurious. Good supply of crockery, cutlery etc., & seats and benches to eat at. The bathroom was safe and functional. We were happy with everything.

A great overnight stay. Clean and tidy. Great location. Room was bright and spotless. Bathroom looked like it had just been refurbished. The shower was hot and great water pressure. The only negative is the on-site parking. Each room has its own numbered car park but they do not correspond to your number. It is a little tight to reverse out if you are paralleled park and the car’s opposite are in a straight line right behind you. But that should not dissuade anyone from staying there. It is a must stay overnight motel.

For an overnight stop over this motel is clean, warm & comfortable - it is all one level which is good for people with mobility issues - parking for most vehicles is at the door. Rooms near the road are a little noisy. Good for budget motel.

On the road, book a motel on reviews and price. Reviews were saying newly renovated and comfortable bed. I stay 5 star for work, I would recommend this. Toaster, microwave, bed and pillows comfort plus. Great shower. Will return whenever on the long stretch. Very happy I chose this for a stopover.

Absolutely disgusting behaviour by the owner, always telling us that no guest for coffee, no friends can visit, telling my children to be quiet and get back in the room by 530pm as other guest arriving and don't need the noise. NOT allowed alcohol, not allowed music, not allowed to

Travelling back home we picked this motel for a one night stopover. Slowly but surely the new owners are renovating the motel and their efforts are being rewarded. Nice to see a few outdoor chairs and pot plants, a special smoking spot and well established parking areas. The room was clean, everything we wanted provided for, bed firm and we had a good sleep. Whilst we are not regular visitors to Port Macquarie, we would recommend this motel if you are looking for a clean, comfortable room at a very reasonable price.
