Bath mat for shower was promised and not delivered staff unfriendly arrived 20minutes early had to wait 25 minutes to check in and we went to bed at 10pm there was a lot of loud banging noises and they put tables of very loud people outside the window to our room had to make earplugs out of cotton wool the shower also went seriously hot and then cool without adjusting taps

Travelling from Australia we really love the look and atmoshpere of these English Pubs. Great room
Great service.
Very short walk to Port Isaac.
May be a bit challenging for some to navigate the steep stairs.
Very friendly and Harry (think that was his name) was great value.
Perfect pub and accomodation for a perfect setting.

We popped in with friends Sunday evening. Lovely food,staff always friendly and welcoming. Can't wait for cosy winter evenings at the PG.

Had Sunday lunch and breakfast here, could not fault either! Good quality well presented tasty food. Staff were welcoming, especially Jack who couldn't do enough to please, very friendly and polite. Beautiful little hotel with loads of character, would definitely recommend!!

Fabulous dinner at The Pilchards. Great view from the restaurant, friendly service and the food was perfectly cooked. Thoroughly recommend if you are in the area.

On arrival we were shown to a table inside but found the room to be rather gloomy and so asked our waitress Joanne if we could dine outside. She was wonderfully understanding and we thus moved to an excellent table in the very pleasant enclosed garden on the other side of the lane. From here we had a great view of the water and enjoyed a marvellous sea bass dish each. Joanne looked after us very kindly indeed and made our visit a pleasure. Thank you so much, Joanne; you are a credit to the Port Gaverne!

We visit Port Gaverne every year but this year something was a bit different…. The pub, which whilst always a nice spot, tended to be a bit overpriced and not great food. This year, this couldn’t be further from the truth. We visited with our two sons, 10 and 13, for an evening meal and could not fault a thing. Wonderful and friendly service, super food…. A real treat! The Thai style hake was one of the nicest things I have ever eaten. My husband and son also thoroughly enjoyed the burger and steak. Thank you so much for a wonderful visit, we would highly recommend and will be back soon!
