We stayed here in the penthouse studio at the end of our trip across the great ocean road and although we looked forward to this stay it was not a really great stay.We had a 6 weeks trip through australia, which we really enjoyed but this was our worst and only bad stay in the 6 weeks. To start with the beginning the bad reception of the host. I don't know what he had eaten, but hopefully he doesn't greet all his guest this way. He started to argue about the fact that we'd already entered the hallway (someone had left the door open, which wasn't the idea but what can we do about that?). Second he wanted us to buy an australian telephone number, because this was easier and cheaper for him. This is really ridiculous, I don't know in which era he lives, but you can reach us anywhere in Australia and if you send us an app it is not even more expensive. I think it is really rude to ask this only for you own benefit. He forgot one thing, He has chosen to work in the sector of tourism, so he has to deal with people all over the world (not only from australia or people he liked). Third. The room. First the pros. It has a really beautiful view and the room is spacious. The cons. the room isn't really clean (also not really clean sheets). The furniture is not one unity and looks old, some modernisation is really needed. The room is spacious but due to a lack of enough furniture it feels like a ballroom. Windows are dirty, but I think the owners can't really be the blame of that, because of the strong winds here and the proximity of the sea it is impossible to have clean windows or you have to wash them daily Service We asked extra towels, because we stayed more nights and we only had towels for one day. He begrudgingly gave us 2 extra. But this were old towels and it was written all over him that he didn't like this. All in all We would recommend to everybody to stay somewhere else if you visit this area. This is an expensive stay and it's really not worth the money. We were in doubt of 2 or 3 stars but because of the bad host we have given 2 stars.
