The Estuary Hotel & Spa

Very friendly staff especially by the restaurant and Spa...Had amazing experience.Wish to come back and fully explore the hotel.

This property is located in a stunning location. Which makes its current condition all the sadder. Clearly, this once was a prime hotel. However, it has not been maintained or updated. The rooms are very average and dated. And the staff are clearly unhappy. They make it clear they would prefer to be elsewhere. Where almost everyone we encountered in South Africa were very friendly, the staff at the Estuary were the exception. With no smiles and no welcoming spirit. Further, the restaurant is in lousy condition with below average food and poor service. All in all, a sad place. We were pleased to move on after one night there.

There is nothing to review, but we had great time with my family. What we like the most is that all activities we nearby.

We enjoyed a wonderful 1 night break away, views are beautiful, staff friendly and food delicious. We will definitely be back again soon.

General facility appears dated. Bathroom was not appealing at all and requires updating. Noise level was high as guests were roomed right next door to one another despite the hotel not being full. View was beautiful. Staff are well trained and friendly. The service was very good.

Old Constantia style architecture, Beautiful, well-maintained territory with amazing view. very peaceful and quiet surrounding. It is 3-star hotel, so expect 3-star experience at its GOOD standard. Family room is spacious. Nice laminate floor, Bathroom is spacious with the bath and large shower cabin. Nearly tiled, but old( two taps) plumbing and bath. Towerls are thin and rough. Might need to change. Beds are confortable and linned is good. I would decorate rooms a bit-empty walls. Internet, WIFI is not existing as in the room as on the territory. Telephone reception not everywhere either.. The restaurant: old days tiny, in diameter, plates (for starters and for the main course), black table cloth, black nupkins and black staff uniforms in the rainy days make you beleive that you are at the funiral parlor... The menu items ,as well as the kitchen execution of it, is probably well recieved by the targeted audience.It was not our cup of tea though... I saw other travellers reviews and the owner's reply. I agree with the owner and wish the restaurant and the hotel well. We will be comming back if will need to stay in the area! The business in the region is tough and clientelle also has changes, so the hospitality industry had to ajust! Special thank you to the hotel and restaurant staff! Every staff member is friendly and very helpfull
