Meridian at Port Douglas

Oh I loved this accommodation. The cleanliness was what I expect, but don’t get at other apartment style accommodation. The staff very helpful and willing. The location for me perfect as it is a short walk to Macrossin st and Four mile beach. It is a little more expensive than some others, but the location, facilities, and the fact it's ADULTS ONLY, it's what I like about a quiet holiday by the beach in winter. It had everything I needed. Equipped and clean kitchen and utensils. Safe. Aircon and fans (you choose), good sized pool, private balcony (people weren't looking into my room or balcony), a lift/elevator (important). Had windows in the bedroom with timbers louvres, so you weren't sleeping without fresh air. I dislike bedrooms with only the sliding door that you can't keep open of a night. As a solo traveller, the only thing I'd like to see is a little more apartment door security. Possibly a chain on the apartment door. Something additional than the lock they have now. There is some road noise, as it is on the main road. However as I'm at the beach most of the day, it didn't bother me. The pool was lovely and clean. The other guests around the pool, were quiet and didn't interfere with anyone (but I suppose that just depends on potluck of the guests at the time you're there) . If my budget allows it in future, this will be my go-to place in PORT DOUGLAS, while it is maintained to the standard I experienced.

We had a lovely stay at Meridian. Our room was spotlessly clean. The location was excellent, and facilities were excellent. We received a very friendly greeting, and Eloisa was super helpful before and throughout our stay, organising trips, offering advice, and generally going above and beyond what we could have expected. Thank you very much for a lovely stay.

Very nice room and convenient for restaurants and shops. Overpriced for what you got.

Great location with 5 minutes walk of main shopping and restaurant area. Very comfortable room with kitchen and large balcony. Lovely pool area in an inner courtyard. No restaurant which suited us. Washing machine and drier shared per two rooms in room lobby. Saw one review that said noise from road; not our experience; It was very quiet and its adult only. A overall chilled experience. Highly recommend!

Great room, friendly staff, 2 minute walk to the main restaurant and shopping area. Great launching point to different trails and hikes (Mossman gorge, bump track, or driving farther north to camp tribulation).

Loved the close proximity to the main drag. Staff were fantastic, friendly and helpful, room clean and tidy, pool well kept, we used it daily! As an older lady with arthritic knees and feet, struggled to get out of the pool with the narrow steps on the ladder, and couldn't use the Spa as couldn't get out without difficulty.
