Villa San Michele

Great location.....centre of port douglas...beautifull appartments clean and tidy

Everything was perfect. One thing to improve is the bed which was a bit soft and saggy.

We stayed for 3 nights in a 1 bedroom apartment and our first impression was really good as Angie on reception was really helpful in rearranging our transfer due to our flight being delayed. The apartment was well equipped, clean, comfortable and in a great location for restaurants and bars and only 5 mins walk to the marina for getting on the reef boat tours. We wished we had booked to stay for longer as we would also have done some of the Daintree Forest tours.

This is our fourth time at villa San Michele and we love it every time Sara angie and the team always very helpful and accommodating nothing is ever too much trouble ❤️

So close to everything in the vicinity of Macrossan Street, 'down town' Port Douglas - walking distance to the wharf, marina, community clubs, pubs, restaurants, supermarket and retail shops and sightseeing tour bookings. We are aware that during the low season upgrades are planned and overall our stay was great with friends, the availability of 2 pools, and the fact you can walk out from level 2 and be at street level were bonuses. Just on our room (3034) - amenities were top notch. Some downsides were the lack of parking due to our huge 8 seater van but we were given permission to park in the 'no parking' area and the constant light on the balcony and street lighting. This could be fixed with black out blinds but the built in cabinetry needs to be fixed so it does not butt up against the sliding door wall, because of this you can not bring the entire blind down to floor level to reduce that lighting. The good side of that however is that it serves as a night light if you need to get up through the night. The only other negative comment was the carpet square under the bed, laid into the tiling - the amount of times we caught our toes/feet on the tile/carpet edging - I lost count. I would rip up the carpet and add tiling to the entire square under the bed.

Superb accommodation in the heart of Port Douglas and yet you could be in a hacienda in southern Spain. It’s so well appointed. Comfortable. Clean. Everything you could want is provided.
