Mandalay Luxury Beachfront Apartments

Great stay at Mandalay resort. Currently refurbishing their rooms which will be great once completed. Tried to book their deluxe rooms but as it was a last minute booking i knew they would be full. Great location with beach access across the road and over a few steps to climb up and you’re there. We had a car rental and drove to Macrossan street, might be about 10mins walk therabouts into town but we were glad to have a car and just drive back after dinner. They have tennis courts and a great pool area :)

My wife and I recently spent a wonderful four days at Mandalay Luxury Beachfront Apartments for a wedding for our nephew. Our apartment was large and well appointed, with modern appliances and a private garden deck out the front. The reception staff were excellent and very helpful. The location of the Mandalay is great, only a short, comfortable walk to the Esplanade and the CBD main street. If walking is an issue, there is a great shuttle bus service that provides transport for Port Douglas that we used for the wedding, and it runs until midnight. The beach is across the road and very easily accessible via stairs and a walkway. Would love to return to Port Douglas and the Mandalay again.

This was a very comfortable apartment / hotel located right across from the beach and a short walk to the centre of town. The apt had fully stocked kitchen. Our stay was great!

Stayed here many times. This time we had a two Bedroom ground floor apartment. Number 8. Best location. At end of the row away from pool. So quiet. Huge terrace and garden. Sun lounges and day bed. Well appointed kitchen. Renovated bathroom. Loved being able to walk a few mins direct to beach. Used tennis court ever day. Also used bbq area for dinner. Great value for money. Request the apartment you prefer. 6,7,8 all ground floor and well located. Renovated apartments best. Pool area is small but lovely. We walked to dinner most nights but also could cook.

Great location, loved the swimming pool and the apartment was very spacious. Was disappointed there was no recycling bin and the a/c was pretty noisy running all night. Staff were super friendly and helpful.

The property is dated, mold smell inside, old dusty carpets, etc. Beds with horribly warn out saggy mattresses. Afraid cannot recommend it, despite staff generally nice and accommodating.
