The hotel rooms are compact and reasonably designed, very comfortable, the front desk staff are polite and friendly, and the Western breakfast is simple and ordinary. The overall feeling of staying here is very good.

It was spacious and clean It was great to be able to walk to the beach. There is no comforter, so you need to contact the front desk

Terrible ! We were here to get married ! Customer Service was non existent! Even when we appeared in our wedding outfits! Breakfast expensive and just the worse! Warmed up buffet! Dreadful Good location and nice place but Hotel not for couples but families Would not recommend - awful service - so disappointed

Will definitely book again. Awesome pool, contributed to a really relaxing stay. Very conveniently located to shops and restaurants as well as 4 Mile beach and other activities. The room had great facilities and was always well cleaned by housekeeping - a great home for any length of stay!

We were disappointed when we first arrived at the property. It looked much nicer online, and we didn't feel it was worth the money. It's run down and needs some TLC. Our room was a 3-bedroom self-contained unit. It was spacious and neat, but the bathrooms were disgusting. I would expect bathrooms like that if I stayed at a caravan park. It needs a significant update. There is no mini-bar or lift to the second floor where we stayed. Two young girls were assigned to bring our luggage to our room, but they struggled with our heavy bags, and my husband and 17-year-old son had to help them and bring them up. The same thing happened when we checked out. The poor girl couldn't push the trolley with the luggage, and my husband ended up pushing it for her. The buffet breakfast is average. Not worth $45. The staff are all backpackers. The service could have been better. We would have tried to find a nicer hotel if we hadn't paid upfront. The only saving grace was the swimming pool. Although it also needs a revamp, it was a great pool, and the kids liked it. We wouldn't stay here again.

Well located resort, easy walk to town, with amazing staff and a fabulous pool. Decor of the rooms is very old and dated and showing lots of wear and tear, badly in need of refurbishment. Because of this it didn’t represent good value for money.

Too many screaming kids and the pool cleaning pump starting at 6.30am out side our window was an unwelcome wakeup call!! Surely it could be located closer to the restaurant rather than outside guest rooms! We had room service which was absolutely terrible!

I had a terrible experience at Peppers Beach Club Port Douglas. Upon entering our room, it had a musty smell that suggested it hadn’t been aired out in years. To make matters worse, the sheets were stained, looking disturbingly like blood. The room phone didn’t work, and when I tried calling the front desk from my mobile, no one answered after three attempts. We eventually had to walk down to the front desk to get the stained sheets replaced. I was staying for work for two nights, but our reservation was split into two separate bookings without any explanation. The staff didn’t mention this at check-in, and after our first night, we were abruptly told to vacate the room immediately. When I spoke with the front desk supervisor, she confirmed we were booked for two nights, but insisted we’d have to move to a different room because of the split reservation. When I asked if they could adjust the bookings so we could stay in our room, I was denied. They said incoming guests were expecting the room right away. Feeling shocked and upset, I quickly packed up our belongings and stored them in our car before returning to the front desk. The supervisor showed very little concern for our situation, and when I pointed out that this was their mistake, she didn’t seem to take responsibility. I explained that we were there for work and I needed to leave to see a client in 15 minutes, as we were using the room as a base. She told us we’d have to wait until 2 PM to check back in, but they could hold our luggage for us. Disgusted, I decided to cancel the second night instead of being ejected from our room and then forced to wait to check back in. We quickly found another place to stay for the rest of the day and night. Additionally, I’d like to mention our experience ordering drinks and snacks by the pool on our first day. The staff tossed the food onto our table without a word, and the plate hit the table with enough force to draw attention from other guests. I noticed at least three other tables received the same careless treatment. We paid good money for a hotel that should take care of its guests, and this is not the kind of service you expect. My company used to regularly book stays at Peppers Beach Club for work trips, but after this experience, that will no longer be the case. I’m still shocked by the lack of accountability from the staff and management. This has easily been one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had, and I’ve stayed in some pretty bad places. If you’re considering a stay at Peppers Beach Club Port Douglas, I recommend looking elsewhere.

A great location and excellent facilities. The rooms are ideal, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The pool is great, and the resort is positioned close to the beach and main shopping area. The overall package is perfect and we would have no hesitation in recommending the Beach Club.
