Didn't think it was very clean. Room was small. Check in was crazy as our phones would not work and no one to talk to. Worked out there was a sister hostel and they were great sorted us out in no time. Can't rely on phones to check in guys. overpriced considering all the other better places we've stayed at in the last 3 weeks in Oz.

The place is packed with spanish and latin american people so be prepares for a very noisy venue and roomies. They dont talk, they yell at each other. I was told that most of them live in there permanently. The backpacker (rooms) is located above a pub/bar/club so be prepared as well for the second source of noise and the vibration of the walls due to music and activity downstairs. and just the cherry on top, layout is crowded and the place looks/is dirty everywhere. Staff was kind one thing good to say.

Terribble. Stayed here for a week, it's nasty as h@ll : Greasy kitchen, cups and plates sticking to the tables, the fridge probably hasn't been cleaned for months, toiletpaper is not guaranteed and you could build the nastiest creation with all the built up hair&shampoo on the shower floor/walls. Nobody seems to give a sh!t about cleaning up after themselves and theres no cleaning service of any kind & a lot of people are probably living here long(ish) term. Think frat house vibes but in the tropics with 24/7 windows open and apart from in the bedrooms, no aircon.

It certainly was budget accommodation. The entrance is down a side alley and there was no receptionist in sight. I had to wait around 15 minutes before I could check in. The rooms were very basic and you only got a sheet for cover. The beds were comfy though and there were plenty of plug sockets. The kitchen left much to be desired as well as the laundry room but there was a large common area to relax in. Checking out there was still no receptionist so you just drop the card into a box. Good just for a bed to stay in, not good for long term.
